it's all about the hospitable home

Thank You For Your Service

“Thank you for your service.”

Seems like a phrase that we have used so much recently

when we are in the company an active service man or woman or addressing a person

who had served our country so heroically to preserve our freedoms.

Today, we say to all those brave men and women who made those sacrifices

so that we can live in the greatest country in the world,

“Thank you for your service”.

I do not believe that I have ever said these words to my dad.

I have always admired him and was so proud of his many years

of service to our country.

So today, I say, “Thank you for your service, Dad”

I miss you every day!

Have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day!

Note: the first photo above was taken from my brother’s and sister-in-law’s home when I showcased

Pam’s beautiful garden.  A must see!

I never said that to my husband and as other people said it to him he would at first be kinda embarrassed and I think it was because being a Vietnam vet he had to get use to be acknowledged for his service. One of the diseases he passed away with was caused by that war so it cost him and his family alot.

A beautiful tribute to all the ones that have gave us “freedom.” At this time in our great nation we need to remember their sacrifices then and now. Your post was great and your brother’s home and gardens are spectacular.
    Happy Memorial Day !!!
