I wanted to have another table surface in the kitchenette of the Media room.
So what do you do? You shop the house and the attic too!
I remembered I had a painted vintage drop leaf table in the attic
that was left over from the antique booth days. I measured and it was perfect.
So down it came.
The antique screen door has been leaning against the wall of the kitchenette.
I pondered back and forth as to leaving it there or hanging it on the wall of the butler’s pantry.
I love this screen door frame that I purchased from my favorite shop,
thinking that I may use it in another home as a butler’s pantry door.
The chippy stool was last seen in the kitchen; however, I am granddog sitting and
he has an active tail, if you know what I mean.
So the stool with the ironstone creamer of hydrangeas found a new home on the table.
A boxwood wreath was hung on the screen door.
Boxwood topiaries added to the vignette to compliment the wreath.
Did I mention that I so love this antique screen door.
Should it not work as a future butler’s pantry door, I am sure I can find another purpose for it!
But until then, I love it in this little kitchenette.
I have been busy with many projects throughout the house.
I took a break from painting to place the table in the kitchenette.
Hope you all had a great weekend and have some great things planned this week.
I will be working on my projects indoors (such as my sweetie’s room) to stay away from the heat.
Have a wonderful day!!!

Shirley, I also love your screen door…and what a great kitchenette! Your drop leaf table looks great with the chippy stool on top. It is fun to shop your house and find all kinds of “stuff” to use and repurpose! A perfect vignette! Happy Monday!
Cute vignette and I’m sure you will find a place for that cherished screen door in your next home.
Omigosh I want that door!!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous styling Shirley – as always!
It looks just perfect Shirley and a good thing you protected the stool and toppings from the doggy tail, LOL.
Ohhhh…just beautiful…I want a door like that! I’ve been stumped for inspiration for a white serving buffet I stuck in the guest room-I’m off to shop my house! Thanks, Shirley!
Happy shopping Kym!
Oh my! I love that screen door too! Great find. Haha, I know all about doggy tails! Looks like the stool is in a safe place. It’s always nice when you can shop the house and find just what you need – cute drop leaf table.
Thank goodness for indoor projects this time of year! Stay cool.

Shirley, I absolutely love that chippy screen door! I love how you have it styled with the beautiful antique table in the kitchenette. All of your accessories and white ironstone pottery work perfect in the vignette. So pretty!!!
LOVE that door! I can see it as a butlers pantry door for sure.
I love this, beautiful vignette! I am SURE the screen door will find a place to live in your future home. I am INDOORS too, it is WAY too hot to even go to the pool:( Having lunch with friends today, a visit to HG since it is right across from the restaurant but that’s it for me:) Have a great day and stay COOL!!!!
Shirley
This is such a sweet vignette! There are so many elements about it that I love, the door, the ironstone pitch, the stool. You pulled it all together beautifully!
Shirley I love that look. What an awesome display of vintage love.
Love the look – it’s so nice to change things up. That door on a butler’s pantry is perfect…you’ll get the “Screen Door Slap” sound each time it closes.
Where did you find the boxwood wreath? I am wanting one but cann’t find one at a price I can afford.
I found one 199.00 please let me know.
Thanks
Lou
Lou, I purchased my wreath about 2 years ago at Decor Steals; however, there are some you can purchase on Amazon. Thanks..hope this helps.
Love your screen door, Shirley! Reminds me of the one at my grandmother’s house! I could definitely see it being used on a butler’s pantry.
So pretty Shirley, loving the screen door. I also am a HUGE fan of boxwood. The stool is neat too. Have a great start to your week
