I cannot believe that it has been almost 3 years since I went to France with
fellow bloggers and friends. It was a trip of a lifetime for me that I will never forget.
One of the most unforgettable moments and places of this trip was being invited to
our gracious hosts and tour guides most gorgeous French farmhouse/manor, named Rabbit Hill.
Our hostess was Cat of Sunday Brocantes. She doesn’t blog anymore, but you can find
some of the most gorgeous photos on her Instagram (cat_in_france) and
www.sundaybrocantes.com for her foodie workshops. Cat is an phenomenal cook.
We were invited for lunch and must say it was one of the best meals I have ever had!!
As I entered the dining room my eyes focused on the amazing woodwork that was original
to the house, which if my memory serves me right is about three centuries old.
The painting above the mirror is original to the house.
When I traveled to France I did not want to take my heavy DSLR, so pardon my
“point and shoot” camera photos.
Among many of Cat’s talents is being a great designer.
I was incredibly fascinated with her gorgeous vignettes throughout her home,
including this mantelscape.
With my little camera, it was hard to capture the total room
where there was beauty in every corner. The dining room is quite large.
The blue and white striped arm in the upper right hand corner of the photo
belongs to Kim
The gorgeous centerpiece that Cat created on the dining room table are fruits and greenery
gathered from her many wonderful gardens.
The place setting
There were multiple seating areas in this room,
including this very sweet bench filled with antique grain sack pillows made by Cat.
Our most beautifully set appetizer/wine serving table.
A French Antique Armoire used as a storage piece in the dining room.
Time for lunch … The Duck was beyond delicious!
And how do you like her signature Rabbit Ears?
And meet the chef!
Hope you enjoyed one of my most memorable meals and Cat’s amazing dining room.
Truly a most beautiful experience.
Have a great weekend! Speaking of wonderful times and experiences,
I so plan to have some this weekend and hope you do too!!!
Stay tuned!

Such a lovely French farmhouse and yummy looking meal. I find dining is as much a part of the travel experience as the memories of the beautiful landscapes.
