My Blue and White DIY Pumpkin ~ bHome Fall Tour Day 4 ~ A Giveaway

One day when at my favorite mall, I saw a new store that just opened called Paper Source.

It looked interesting from the window, so I went in and browsed around.

They had wonderful papers for all kinds of purposes.

I spotted a pretty blue and white patterned paper and thought I could

use it for a future project. I originally thought I would cover a box,

however with the Fall season upon us, I went in a different direction.

Why not try my hand at covering a pumpkin. Something we have seen in blogs and magazines.

Blue and White DIY Pumpkin - Housepitality Designs

The only materials needed are the decorative paper, a faux pumpkin,

(I used a glass covered pumpkin jar) a chip brush, and Mod Podge.

For my first time, I think it turned out OK.

If I decide to cover another faux pumpkin, I think I shall try my hand

in using fabric and then compare paper vs. fabric.

That is one beautiful pumpkin. I love the idea of using other colors instead of the traditional orange. It is a lovely vignette with the pumpkin as the star.

This I a beautiful job and it fits in with your home perfectly. I have done these in years past with boxes. The fabric worked but I found the paper easier to work with than fabric. Loving this tour.

Try it with pretty paper napkins on glass! I split the paper napkin so only the topmost layer is used. I’ve even done little plastic nightlights like that and the result is so pretty!

    *hugs*
