I am sharing this tablescape and luncheon again.
I hosted a Little Ladies Luncheon for my Sweetie and her friends and it was a hit.
So for those who have Sweeties like me, here is something that everyone involved would enjoy.
There is always lots of excitement and festivities
for the little ones (and us bigger ones too), prior to and during Christmas day.
After Christmas, for them, there is a little less excitement
other than enjoying their gifts they have so happily received.
I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to have my sweetie over with a few of
her besties for a Little Ladies luncheon to celebrate the winter season?
Just a casual one, of great fun and giggles and treats.
You know how little girls can be!
Because they were on winter break,
I thought it would be fun to have a winter theme.
Since I already had these snowmen and snowflakes dishes,
what better than to have a table of adorable snowmen.
This table could also be a table for the children for a New Year’s Eve Party.
As a child, my parents never went out on New Year’s Eve.
Rather, they had friends over with their children
and we all celebrated with great food and fun,
sparklers, a firecracker or two, and lots of pots and pans to make noise.
Those were the simple times, and the most fun and memorable.
I carried on this tradition when my son was young.
Rather than my hubby and I attending parties on New Year’s Eve,
we invited our friends and their families to celebrate all being together
to welcome in the New Year.
For many years, our friends and family would attend the Orange Bowl Parade
on New Year’s Eve. I miss that parade.
The Rose Bowl parade is definitely on my bucket list!
The snowmen decor on the table recently adorned the upper porch
and now found their way to the table to join in on the fun and giggles.
You probably have noticed little snowmen lunch boxes on the table.
I was looking for a party favor/parting gift
and found these cuties at Dollar Tree.
I placed Target Snowman gift cards in each box.
I love doing things with my granddaughter, my sweetie, making memories.
Both my grandmothers passed away before I was born,
therefore, I never had the chance to make memories with them,
so these times of creating memories are pretty special to me.
My granddaughter is an only child,
so I find it important that she be surrounded by friends and family,
thus including them in activities is very important and special to her.
The table is set and now I need to create a fun dessert.
I wanted to stay with the snowman theme and rather than a flat cookie,
I tried to come up with something more realistic.
When I saw this no-bake orange ball cookie recipe,
I knew exactly what I was going to do!
I needed a cookie recipe that I could form different size balls
that would pretty much stay the same size, and not change after the baking process.
The no-bake cookies were the ticket….You could also use a cake pop recipe too.
Arms are pretzel sticks and the head is an ornament from Dollar Tree.
The snowman cookies sits on top of a crystal snowflake votive candle holder.
I have another idea for the hat…in which I will share later as I want
the girls to actually make them.
The table is ready for the little ladies to come and enjoy.

Are you preparing for your Thanksgiving feast? ….
Or are you going over the river and through the woods
to celebrate with family and friends?
Have a most beautiful day!!

This is such a sweet idea, Shirley. The little ladies had to love this! I’ve made those orange snowball cookies before, and they’re great. We’ll be heading over the river & through the woods to my Mr.’s sister’s for Thanksgiving. I hope you thoroughly enjoy your time with family.

ABSOLUTELY DARLING!!!!! I cannot wait for grandkids and hopefully a granddaughter to do this with:)

Your sweetie is lucky to have you–what a fun time they must have had! Love the snowman theme,Shirley. Where did you find those adorable glass-looking snowmen? I’ve never seen ones like that–I LOVE them! Sorry I haven’t been commenting of late. There was some crazy clitch every time I tried to scroll down your post–could get the first paragraph or two and then it would just freeze up. So glad it’s working today because I’ve been missing your lovely postings.

You are a very involved & thoughtful Grandmother & this should be a party she will have treasured memories of. My Grandmother was very old when I was little and wouldn’t have been able to do this, but she did other sweet things for me that I still have. If I had a party like this, I would be ecstatic!
Shirley, what a wonderful table setting for your Sweetie and her friends! There’s nothing more important than creating those precious memories with those that we love! Happy Thanksgiving!!
What a darling collection of snowmen tableware. It is so cute and whimsical. I am a big fan of using lime green and red. Your cookie snowman looks so yummy and certainly adds to the snowman theme. It can bring a smile to everyone who sees it.
WOW, SHIRLEY. GRAYLYN HAS THE BEST GRAMA EVER! WHAT A LUCKY GIRL, AND WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TABLE.
