It seems as though I am working on my Christmas decorating,
I work to complete one floor at a time in the house.
When the first floor was done, it was time to move on the next.
My Blue and White Christmas Guest Room was the first room on my list,
especially since I was expecting company.
A silver tray attached to the door with velcro command strips
to act as the room’s door plaque . . . “Housepitality Suite”
A Santa hat perched on an antique French enamelware pitcher
and a Welcome Gift for my guest that is filled with local goodies.
Since my niece will be traveling by plane,
it was best that I wrap it with clear wrapping paper
rather than filling goodies in a basket that I usually do.
An olive bucket filled with cotton a.k.a. Southern Snowballs
hoping for a White Christmas.
I placed small vignettes on each table beside the bed.
I recently purchased this black and white transferware sugar bowl
that was missing its lid. A Byer Caroler and replica of a vintage cardboard house.
On the antique table that I use as a bedside table/desk for guests,
is a vignette of sparkly silver trees and Byer Carolers,
and an ironstone pitcher of fresh greenery.
On the other side of the French Country hutch is a vintage table
of sweet angels with a backdrop of the shabby vintage mirror.
Behind the doors of the hutch is a TV for guests to catch up on the news of the day
or watch their favorite show.
A sweet chair in the corner. I am on a quest to find a small ottoman so that
guests can put their feet up.
Pillows fluffed … check!
Treats for guests … check!
Thank you for stopping by! I shall remember to keep the light on!
And To All A Good Night!!
Have a very Merry Day!!

Hi Shirley, What a stunning guest room. Your visitors will never want to leave. You’ve thought of everything to make a stay here cozy and comfortable. I love the touch of black with the blues and then your pop of red for the season. Simple perfection!! Love it! Have a great weekend. xo

I love this room, Shirley! I love the blue walls with the blue and white toile. And it looks so pretty all dressed up for Christmas. My son is coming home for Christmas and will stay in our guest room. He doesn’t appreciate a pretty room so I’ve done nothing – lol. He won’t notice that either!
love and blessings~

Im obsessed with your bed duvet linens! The blue and white chinoiserie toile is gorge. May I ask where it was purchased?
Beautifully done! I, too, am interested to know where I could purchase the bed linens.
Hello there. Would you mind telling me how you hung those trays on the wall behind the bed? I love that, it looks so cute. Thank you for your help. Have a wonderful day. Lori Taylor
