Simple Centerpiece to Ring in the New Year

After a wonderful Christmas Day dinner,

the Christmas dishes were washed and put away for another year.

I wanted a simple centerpiece to ring in the New Year.

I chose white flowers.

Flowers to give the feeling and illusion of new fallen snow.

Beautiful white hydrangeas seem to fit the bill.

Love the way they look against the colorful sugared fruit tree.

There were these beautiful white roses at the market

and I thought they would be a perfect compliment to the hydrangeas.

I had a set of three white vases that I acquired several years ago

on a great after Christmas sale. (75% off) They were a part of a collection

which also included these angels, that are usually in the guest room for Christmas.

I strived for more simplicity in my decor last year.

I think I achieved it for the most part.

However, I think I need to work on that a little more.

I have always been a “collector” and it is hard to teach this old dog new tricks!

I want to take this time to wish you all a most Happy and Healthy New Year and

to thank you, my readers and friends for your support these past years.

As my granddaughter would always say, “You make my heart happy!”

Hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas too.

I am going to miss this sight soon ..

My caps are not working either. Anyway……this is absolutely beautiful, so serene and timeless! By the way, saw the beautiful, tinsel stars in your Christmas posts and forgot to ask about them, where did you get those? They look vintage but, if not, would love to find them for my decor next year. (the tinsel stars that are on the table with your angels)
