The foyer is simply decorated for Winter.
However, there is a little surprise in the foyer.
Something very unique that I found on my birthday.
It’s a ceramic vase in the form of a pair of boots!
I am sure many of you have seen Hunter or Wellies Boots
filled with flowers adorning a porch or embellishing a room.
Now, these boots do not look like they originally did in the store.
I bought this at Arhaus. It was on sale.
I was not crazy about the olive color of the boots, so I thought,
“I could paint them!”
When it comes time to change out the flowers (hydrangeas and eucalyptus),
I think I will give it a good wax for a more shiny appearance.
I wanted the foyer simply decorated for Winter
after the Christmas decor was put away.
I love my antique scale that I purchased from my friend Martha.
I had a feather tree nestled on one side of the scale for Christmas.
When I saw this mini daffodil at Trader Joe’s,
I thought it would be cute sitting in the weights side of the scale
where the feather tree was.
I kept the brass lanterns on the antique French buffet.
The birch candles were replaced with the battery operated flickering candles.
Now when family and friends enter my home,
they will be greeted with ceramic boots filled with flowers.
And my boots will remain in the closet!
Oh, and who said that boots were just made for walking?!!!
Have a most beautiful day!!!

What a cute step in to Spring…when it officially arrives! Great find!
I adore your winter wellie welcome in your foyer Shirley….how’s that for some alliteration after only one cup of coffee this morning? 🙂 They’re beautifully painted and planted with the seeded eucalyptus and hydrangeas!

The boots are terrific and look so real. What a great find.
Don’t you love those LED candles with a timer on them. I am so afraid that when I light the real ones that I will forget to put them out and I love to see flickering candles.
We are in the process of three big rain storms and my flowers are dancing in the rain. LOL
Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully your having warm weather.

Love the boot vase. In fact, the olive color would have looked great at the front door of the Maine house. When you tire of it, let me know!

Love the boots! And the color you painted them. I am yearning so for a live plant that I might have to hit Trader Joe’s for some spring like you did.
