She Sheds : A Room of Her Own and a Giveaway

Do you have something that you have always wanted as part of your home,

or on your property, but never got around to having it built or created?

Just always dreaming that some day . . . .

That something for me is a mini Greenhouse, my “she shed”.

There is a book about She Sheds, “She Sheds : A Room of Her Own” by Erika Kotite.

Do you recognize this amazing Potting Shed a.k.a. She Shed?

Potting Shed-Housepitality Designs

It’s Mary’s of Home Is Where The Boat Is Potting Shed. Her “She Shed”

She Sheds can be a potting shed, an artist’s studio, a place to retreat,

truly a room of your own.

Mary’s Potting Shed is featured in this book,

in the chapter of Sheds for Gardeners.

As soon as Mary posted about this book, I knew I had to have this

for future reference and of course because Mary’s Potting Shed is in it.

I love the way Mary so beautifully styles her potting shed, indoors and out.

Isn’t this breathtaking?

I have been wanting my she shed built for years now. Probably won’t happen this year either since we have a bathroom to renovate. Mary’s shed is always decorated the best and I don’t know how she comes up with so many fabulous styles. So very creative.

Shirley, this shed id adorable. I would love to have one but there just isn’t enough room in our tiny yard. We downsized five years ago with a much smaller yard and home. I would never go back to a large home and yard as ours is perfect for us. I do have a wonderful front porch to decorate, and that will have to do. I can look at wonderful pictures of these sheds though and daydream about them. Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures of this shed. Enjoy your weekend.

Our large family home is for sale as we downsize. I know the only way I’ll be able to bear it is to have a she shed for all my bits and bobs! The only thing I am allowing myself to purchase these days is books that are worthy of being packed and moved with us! ?

We just sold our home with my “she shed”. My husband made it for me while I was out of town visiting my daughter for a week many years ago. It started out as a garden room, then I turned into a tea room. I will never forget the “tea ” party that I had for my grandchildren. Before we left the house I turned it into “wine tasting ” room as the woman moving in did not garden or “have tea”. That book would be wonderful to relive my special place.

Oh, how I wold love a she shed! Takes me back to my youth when I wanted a beautiful playhouse. I could envision it in my mind…cozy,..cute…a mini version of my someday home. When I couldn’t get by dad to build me one, I actually went to work one hot summer morning with wood scraps, nails, hammer…After working hard most of day I ended up with a wobbly frame that I attached an old blanket to. It sure wasn’t what I had in mind but it was my first, verry own she shed!
