A while back I presented one of my favorite consignments shops
that has wonderful things for all things home.
If you missed that post, you can see what I am referring to
as my favorite consignment shop.
I presented one of my finds there in this post of my sunroom
of a Chelsea House Chinoiserie table.
However, I found another piece there that I want to share with you today
and the items that my friend Sherri took home with her too!
Do you spy something new in the stairwell?
Yes, it is the Renoir (reproduction of course) painting by Ethan Allen Galleries.
It was love at first sight.
Here it is hanging in the consignment shop.
I can tell you that the cost of this painting was like buying
an inexpensive canvas artwork piece from places like HomeGoods.
The painting was hung in the stairwell
replacing the mirror that was relocated to the sunroom.
I love how it changed the look in this area
with such great color and interest.
Now on to what my friend Sherri did with her finds.
She bought something on this table at the consignment shop.
It’s the silver Champagne bucket….it’s a beauty and was a great price. (around $40.00)
Its new home is almost like the one in the consignment shop, only prettier.
Typically, there is a beautiful tea set on this silver tray,
but for today, she is showcasing this silver Champagne bucket
along with flowers from her garden.
There is one more thing that she bought,
but somehow I failed to get a photo of it when it was in the shop.
It is a print by the artist Don Richard Eckelberry. “Ringed Necked Pheasant”. Circa 1977.
When we brought it home, her hubby had already researched the print
and found another numbered print on eBay. The last bid was about 5 times higher
than what she had paid at the consignment shop….so it was truly a great deal!
When I am in the area, I will scoot into the consignment shop to see
what goodies they have and there is always many beautiful new things to look at!
Do you have a favorite shop that you love to frequent?
Lately, I have been looking for things for my granddaughter’s room,
not so much for me, unless it is something I cannot live without!
I will still try and shop the house to refresh my home!
I have completed my 3rd day of 97 things that I am letting go! To be shown soon!
Now on to 96 things to toss or donate.
Have a most beautiful day!!!
