Each year when I begin to decorate my home for Easter,
memories come flooding back of my childhood
and the many songs that my parents would sing.
One in particular is a song that my mom loved,
“The Easter Parade” by the songwriter Irving Berlin.
“In your Easter Bonnet, with all the thrills upon it,
you’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade.”
My mom loved it when Judy Garland sang it.
I think I know every Judy Garland song there is!
Call me a sentimental sap!
So today, in honor of the Easter Parade song,
I present you with
The Easter Bunny Parade Tablescape and a Giveaway!
See details for the Giveaway below.
Today I am joining some of my bHome
friends to share All Things Easter.
I began creating my tablescape by
gathering some of my collection of Bunnies.
The playful moss bunnies were the first bunnies
I reached for to become the stars
of the table.
Along with last year’s Pottery Barn bunny accent plates.
The “bunnies in flight”
seem like they are running away from the
famous farmer, Mr. McGregor,
as they were caught in his garden having lunch
without an invitation!
This year I used some cheerful Spring plates
as chargers that I have had for several years.
I turned the square plates on the diagonal for a different look.
The sugar and creamer match
the square plates/chargers
that sit on top of older Pottery Barn
bunny dessert plates.
I use them in so many different ways.
They are so versatile.
And what’s an Easter table without Jelly Beans!
Must have another touch of Spring
with the bird’s nest in the ironstone bowl
with vintage seed packets tucked into the nest
with those pretty blue speckled eggs.
There is only two things on the table that are are “new”.
The tablecloth by Tommy Hilfiger found at HomeGoods
and this cute ceramic bunny bucket that goes so well
with the tablecloth.
Using wet floral foam,
I arranged the Alstroemerias and a few Calla Lillies in the bucket.
And what’s a chair at the head of the table
without a cute bunny pillow?
Pillow by Pottery Barn last year.
The table is set and ready for Easter festivities.
I guess you could say that the table
could also double as one set for Spring.
It is always fun creating a fun table
for Easter using such cheerful colors
and whimsical bunnies that make you smile!

Your Easter Bunny Parade table is an absolute delight Shirley! I love how the bright colours of those floral plates set the cheerful mood for this playful tablescape. Lots of gorgeous spring elements to be enjoyed and a perfect setting for Easter celebrations. Love it!!!
Loved the peony market tote for $32.
Loved all of your Easter table setting pics, especially the sugar and creamer on the bunny plate stands, loved that!
I love her Willa Rose Round Cloth. Love your Easter ideas — do you have a source for antique seed packets?
I love the Felicity Flowers throw!
I really like the Garden Patchwork Throw.
You really knocked it out of the park with your beautiful Easter Bunny Parade. I love Easter and you certainly have a stunning table. I need to get cracking and decorate for Easter or it will be here and gone.
I be your little Sweetie really likes the tablescape. Do you put her Easter basket outside the front door? We did that with Kelly and left carrots for the Easter Bunny. She would go to the door and open it and get so excited that the bunny left her basket there. Now she’s to old for that.
I bet your mom got you and your sister all dressed up in your Easter finery. I love to get a new outfit for church. On those good memories and the Easter Egg Hunts.
Please enter me into your drawing – love anything roses.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Mary

Shirley, that is such a sweet story. You brought back a memory for me. Both my mom and my grandfather would always sing that song when I was a little girl. She and my grandfather loved to play the piano and sing. Your table is beautiful with those pretty bunny plates and cute moss bunnies. I love your idea for placing the square plates on the diagonal, and your tablecloth is gorgeous. I came so close to buying the same one yesterday! I may still have to go back and get one if it’s still there. I hope you have a beautiful day!!!
Love that song and I think everyone has sweet memories to it. Everything is just beautiful my friend. I enjoyed your post today.
