This past week I have been catching up after being away
for a little more than 3 weeks. Household chores, some doctor appointments,
and cleaning up the layers of pollen.
This week, I plan on doing some Spring spruce up,
Welcoming Spring of Porches, Water Features and More.
I was so happy to clean the porches from its layers of pollen
and crank up the fountains on the front porch,
so that we can hear the lovely trickling of water again.
Placed a beautiful hydrangea plant in the pot and lilies in the water for a start.
Some flowers have been blooming but the most spectacular blooms are these:
My irises are budding and blooming.
Soon there will be a large display of these pretty blooms.
I was looking back on some Spring inspiration
and thought I would send some to you.
The upper back porch dressed for Spring last year.
Blue and yellow with lemons made it a very cheery place.
One year, I used pretty shades of oranges and yellows
for the Spring Front Porch.
I am not sure what I will do for Spring door decor.
Wreaths? … maybe some baskets?
Because I have double doors, there always has to be two of everything.
Such as these with white hydrangeas and yellow Spring blooms.
I am thinking that maybe I should refresh these dried hydrangea wreaths for Spring
since I already have hydrangeas on the porch.
I used to have this vintage wagon on the front porch
that I filled with seasonal flowers.
Last year, I added a couple of fountains.
One of these fountains I created using a garden container and pond/fountain
parts from Smart Pond. If you missed how I did this,
you can see it here: How to Turn A Garden Container Into a Water Feature
The garden container went from this:
This week is typically a popular week for Spring Break,
so should you be enjoying a great Spring Break week, I wish you safe travels and lots of fun!
I will be home sprucing up the porches, hosting my Sewing Group in which
breakfast and lunch are included in between lots of laughs and conversation and some sewing,
and more garden center shopping!
Have a most beautiful Spring day!!!
