Lately these days, I often think about how great it does feel
to de-clutter and asking myself, “do I really need this?”
These past few days, I have been working on closets and linen closets.
Each bathroom, with the exception of the powder rooms, have linen closets.
It seemed as though if I was unsure of where to store something,
it pretty much ended up in one of those closets.
Linen closets, drawers, cabinets, and counters de-cluttered . . . done. . .
and I am happy with the Master Bathroom changes.
The first thing I did was remove the large glass containers
on the countertop that took up a lot of space.
A simple vase of hydrangeas from my yard replaces the large containers.
I used to always have flowers in my bathroom. Not sure why I got away from that,
as flowers in the bathroom really beautifies and freshens up the room.
However, I do have great plants that flank the windows by the tub.
When staging areas, I know you are to limit your personal things as much as you can.
However, I do tend to break some rules with my favorite things.
Speaking of favorite, since moving here 12 years ago, I found it difficult to find
my favorite hand soap. Then Publix came to town and they carried it.
Yardley English Lavender Hand Soap.
Do you spy something else that is different in the room?
There was an antique cabinet in this space.
That cabinet took a ride over to my son’s house and found a place in his guest room.
I removed the antique French Commode from the Great Room
and it found its way to the Master Bath. It is actually the perfect size for the space.
Daily essentials and pretties were placed on the French commode.
And yes, when staging a home, it is recommended that you remove all personal photographs.
But this one on the French Commode will stay as it makes me smile every day!
One more larger item was removed from the bathroom.
It was the small table that was next to the chair.
I thought it would give the space in front of the tub area a less cluttered look.
Another room down and several more to go!
Have a most beautiful day and amazing weekend!!!
I think you know what I will be doing!
I wish I could say, I will be heading toward the cool air of the mountains,
but I will have to settle for the artificial cool air of air conditioning
playing with packing paper and moving boxes!

I always love seeing your pretty master bath. All I have done all week is look at bathroom items on line as our master bath reno is starting soon, possibly this weekend. A certain someone mentioned he may start demoing it since we are ready to start. I need to clean out the cabinets and the hutch has to be moved so I will be purging and packing up some things, too. Happy packing!
