Another busy week for me, but I always say that busy is good,
because my mom told me so!
Today I want to show you a sneak peek of the sunroom and consignment finds
from my favorite consignment shop.
Do I listen to myself when I enter the doors of Always Home in Durham, N.C.?
“Now have a little constraint Shirley!” No, I often do not listen.
My hearing seems to get a little worse when I try to listen to my own voice!
I am putting some finishing touches in the sunroom, but here are some teasers
so you can see the direction I am going in for Fall in the Sunroom.
Alstroemeria and mums fill my Smith and Hawken gold watering can
that was so kindly gifted to me by sweet Mary of Home Is Where the Boat Is.
The colors of the flowers were the perfect accent for the Fall Sunroom.
Again, a trip to Pottery Barn led to the theme and color of the room.
A total reveal of the sunroom will be coming next week.
Now on to my Consignment Shop finds.
I am thinking ahead to my future kitchen, wanting to incorporate more copper pieces
in the kitchen decor. So when I spotted this pretty, and realized it was a bargain
after my advisor confirmed that fact . . . . . into my hands it went!
I was going to pack it away, but thought twice about it
and decided to keep it in the kitchen and place flowers in it!
While doing my last circle around the consignment shop, one of the employees
had several pillows in her hand. I said to my friend, follow that lady!
. . . . and we did! She heard us and wanted to avoid the stampede
so she quickly and gently laid the pillows on a table for us to see.
Yes, this one! It’s mine!
I have seen these Aubusson pillows sell for big bucks
and I got this one for a fraction of the usual price.
For now, the pillow rests in the chair in the master bathroom.
This pillow is sure to make the rounds from room to room soon.
I want to wish you all a most wonderful weekend. I just took out a Banana Pudding Cheesecake
out of the oven. I have company coming. Lifelong friends coming for a short visit.
I guess I just let my friends know what’s for dessert! 🙂
