Hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend.
We spent the weekend working on the house . . . inside and out.
Today the house is being photographed for real estate purposes.
I will share them with you as soon as they are available.
Today I present a Fall Ideas Tour and flowers for staging.
The other day I took a trip to Trader Joe’s
and picked up many bunches of flowers in the purple and plum colors.
I also lucked out and got 2 dozen white roses at Target for $7.50! A super sale!
Here is what I originally did with the white roses.
I posted this on my Instagram this past weekend.
When I brought the flowers home from Trader Joe’s,
I decided not to have just a “bucket of roses”
but separate the roses and use them in the various arrangements throughout the house.
The arrangements were all consistent with the types of flowers;
however, in different containers to coordinate with each room.
This is one that I made for the guest room.
The guest room has black and white accents . . . accenting the blue and white.
So it was just fitting to make an arrangement
in my black and white transferware sugar bowl.
For the media room, I chose my Kentucky Derby Mint Julep cup
for a simple arrangement and a pop of color in the room.
In the kitchen, I decided to minimize the florals
as there is dried hydrangea arrangement
on the kitchen island and one in the sunroom adjacent to the kitchen.
For simplicity, I bought two mini orchids from TJ’s
and placed them in the ironstone creamers.
And I actually forgot to take a pic of the arrangement in the sunroom;
however, it looks very similar to the one I had made a couple of weeks ago.
I made a very simple arrangement in a blue and white pitcher for the master bathroom
with Stock flowers…..they smell wonderful and are very inexpensive.
I have always loved flowers in my house at all times, but now I will have them in every room
for as long as the house is on the market, because sweet Loi (Tone on Tone) told me so!
And when Loi speaks, everyone listens!!! 🙂
I have been working on my front porch in preparation for the Fall Ideas Tour
that is happening this week. The schedule of great Fall inspiration is below.
I am on for Friday …. for Fall porches.
Here is a sneakie peekie for this year’s front porch.
