Oriental Spring for Floral Friday

Happy Friday!

Today is the day that you will see what I have been announcing

with regard to the change in Floral Fridays.

Three of my very favorite friends and bloggers have joined me for Floral Friday!

We will present our floral creations on the first and third Friday of each month.

Oh my, lots of amazing floral inspiration twice a month!

For our inaugural day, we chose a Spring theme.

I am doing something a bit different, an Oriental Spring for Floral Friday.

So get ready for some great floral inspiration!

Joining me today and going forward are:

I am very excited as these wonderful ladies are known for their beautiful

gardens, floral displays and gorgeous home decor.

I have been in Florida visiting my mom after her knee surgery,

so I thought that I would present something in her honor.

My inspiration piece came from this vase that I found at a consignment shop in Florida.

I also found this wonderful Limoges pitcher of soft greens and pink.

Prior to going to the consignment shop, I was shopping at HomeGoods

searching for a quilt for my sister.

We are re-decorating her guest room . . . stay tuned.

I came across this pretty Ralph Lauren Hydrangea tablecloth.

The great find of this Limoges pitcher was perfect

as it coordinated so well with the tablecloth that I had purchased earlier that day.

Other than the vase, Limoges pitcher, and tablecloth

all of the other items, such as the cranes, were gathered from my sister’s home.

The backdrop is an antique silk embroidered panel

that belongs to my other sister. It was passed down to her from her late mother-in-law.

Most of the flowers were purchased from the local grocery store

(no Trader Joe’s here) and the other flowers were plucked from my sister’s garden.

Speaking of garden, I contemplated on filling her fountain with flowers.

Then I had the epiphany of doing something for my mom,

as she is truly my inspiration!

What a lovely idea to have these Floral Fridays. Even though in my country we are entering Autumn or Fall as you call it these arrangements have given me some wonderful ideas. Flowers make a house feel like home. Thank you!
