The Guest Room is Blushing? Or is it Bashful? The Steel Magnolias would know!
Today, there is Blush in the Guest Room and A Winner!
When I was in Florida, a trip to HomeGoods to get something for my sister
yielded several things. A tablecloth that I used in my Floral Friday post,
a quilt for my sister, two pink or should I say blush pillows, and more.
Today, you will see how two pink/blush pillows and more, gave the guest room a bit of a refresh.
When I returned home from Florida, the next day I gathered some of my pink pretties
which included this beautiful ruffled throw placed in a French Market Basket
along with a great magazine for a guest to enjoy.
While in Florida, I was shopping for things to re-decorate my sister’s guest room.
I found this Asian vase in a consignment shop there . . . (for me!)
I also used this vase in my prior Floral Friday post.
I found great pink/blush stock flowers when running my usual errands after a trip.
They sit beautifully on the bedside table which doubles as a desk.
One of the pink/blush pillows is placed on the “desk” chair.
The other was placed in the small chair by the hutch.
The chair is tucked into the corner under the antique painting.
I love the patina of the frame.
My newly acquired Juliska pitcher has found a new home in the guest room
along with the blue and white bowl of pink and lavender dried roses.
I added two darker pink textured pillows
to the bed, that were previously in the Master Bedroom.
I found them in the Pottery Barn clearance bin months ago.
With just a few additions/changes, I was able to refresh this room for Early Spring.
I shall be adding and changing some things in this room soon
to bring it into the full swing of Spring.
Now to the winner of the book, “Beautiful” by Mark D. Sikes.

Hi Shirley! What a beautiful room. I especially like the touches of black here and there, a nice contrast to the lovely pastels. A room fit for a lady or a man! Hus, Pat at Bringing French Country Home
Blush is exactly the color…how beautiful. The ruffled throw is so lovely. The entire room is just perfect. It definitely says Spring.
The guest room is “blushing” so beautifully! Every time I see you use your new Asian vase, I love it! The flowers are lovely.
Certainly nothing bashful about the sheer beauty of this room! And I’m not bashful in the least about my admiration!!! What a subtle and fabulous touch!
I absolutely love the pineapple pillow . Could you share where you got it ?
Thank you Jackie….the pillow came from Pottery Barn. Not sure if it is still available..
I love your blush accents and additions to your guest room Shirley! You would have to check my suitcase if I was lucky enough to stay as a guest in your room to make sure I didn’t sneak out with your Juliska pitcher and those wonderful tole trays on the wall. 🙂
Love the soft blush color you added. I’ve always liked pink and have been admiring this shade that’s so popular right now. Love the new vase you found and the stock looks beautiful in it!
Such a pretty room! I especially like the black tole trays above the bed.
Love your beautiful guest room!
What a cozy and pretty room! I have always been a fan of using touches of black and I particularly like the way you have displayed the tole painted trays.
