Hello Dear Readers!

Today is a very special Friday as it is the third Friday of the month

and that means it is Floral Friday! I am joining the incredibly talented team

of Floral Friday friends, Lidy, Mary and Pam. If you are visiting me from either one

of these sweet friends . . . welcome!

Our theme for today is Copper!

You will find Lidy’s, Mary’s and Pam’s links below.

Welcome to my Crazy for Copper – Floral Friday.

I have been recently scouring estate sales and consignment shops for copper pieces.

My favorite copper piece is a sweet berry basket that I purchased back in 1990

at a Country Living Craft Fair in Florida. …. a handmade, signed piece.

So today, I am presenting my floral arrangement in my very favorite copper piece.

Since I use a floral preservative in the water for the arrangement,

I did not want to expose that to the copper, so I placed two containers in the basket.

Knowing that I would be using a lot of stems/flowers,

I felt that there was no need for floral foam.

Flowers from Trader Joe’s (as usual).

I used peach spray roses, alstroemeria, mums, and I was lucky to find tulips!

Seeded eucalyptus used for a bit of color and texture.

I wanted to present my floral arrangement to include the copper that I have in the kitchen,

therefore,  it is featured, rather unconventionally, on the stove.

It sits on top of a round bread board, a perfect base.

The copper kettle was a find at my favorite consignment shop (Always Home in Durham, NC)

and the copper long handled pan was a treasure from my trip to France years ago.

The small copper sauce pan is from HomeGoods.

I purchased 2 copper pots from France

the smaller one hangs on the other side of the stove.

I used large clear 3M Command hooks to hang the pots in the former house

and they seemed to work very well, so I decided to do the same in this house.

I grabbed some small potted mums (from Trader Joe’s too)

and placed them on each side of the stove to add more pretty to the counter.

The copper pots below are Williams-Sonoma (made in France)

that I found at an estate sale. There were only 2 pieces.

I mentioned that I was surprised to find tulips at Trader Joe’s.

I love how I could cascade them down the sides of the arrangement.

After I had staged the arrangement in the kitchen

my hubby asked me what’s up for dinner?

“I am serving up a beautiful dish that has a wonderful aroma of flowers!” 🙂

We ate out as the flowers were too pretty to take off the stove!

However, they later shuffled over Great Room!

  3. Good morning Shirley! Along with Mary, you have me crazy for all of your beautiful copper! The berry basket is so charming and with your addition of gorgeous stems it becomes a masterpiece of floral perfection. The tulips cascading down the side are so stunning. I need to plan time to shop with you at your favorite consignment shop, it seems to be an endless discovery of gorgeous things. I always enjoy spending Floral Friday’s with you❤️ Wishing you a lovely autumn weekend with “the boys of summer.”

  4. Beautiful arrangement, Shirley. Your collection of copper is very nice. I love estate sales, especially when the homeowners have well curated collections. I just recently came from a very good one. They make quality collecting so much more affordable!
I often wonder about tulips being available in off seasons, too, especially when I see them in magazines (white in winter, etc.). I’ve always just assumed them to be faux, now I know TJ’s pretty much has everything. How I wish we had a TJ’s here! And thanks for the tip on clear command strips -good to know they’ll hold those pots.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  5. Awe, copper and flowers it doesn’t get much better than that. Beautiful arrangement and I love the cascading tulips. Another gorgeous arrangement!

  10. Shirley, I love love love this arrangement! Tulips at this time of year are always a delight, and you made this floral arrangement worthy of an old -master painting! The copper gives it a special glow, but its the way you have arranged the flowers that really make this so gorgeous! I love the trailing down tulips – with an arrangement like this on the stove, it’s time to eat out more often! Always such a treat to join you for Floral Friday! The flowers you chose compliment the cooper beautifully!

  12. Shirley your copper is beautifully displayed and your vignette is gorgeous. The flowers are perfect and tulip too. I adore the tea kettle and am so jealous as I have been looking for one myself. I don’t blame you, I would have gone out to eat too as the beauty on your range is photo ready and I like to keep exceptional displays around for a while.
