Peeks of the Guest Room and Christmas Tree

Dear Readers,

Today, I thought I would give you a couple of peeks of the Guest Room

and the Christmas Tree.

Christmas tree? Yes, Christmas tree!

I have to start very early due to my schedule.

I must say it is going to be a bit different this year.

The full reveal will be on November 21st so stay tuned.

But first let’s start with a couple of sneak peeks of the Guest Room.

I have a few more things to add to the room;

however, they are still in an off-site storage unit that hopefully will be emptied soon.

Blue and White are the colors for this room.

Even the pumpkin is covered in blue and white paper

that I created a couple of years ago.

I had a larger mirror over the bed; however, it reflected the ceiling fan,

which is not a pretty sight.  Now only the cord shows!

Now for a few peeks of the tree.

I just have a couple dozen ornaments on it now . . .

24 down . . . a few hundred to go!

As you can see . . . this year I used white ribbon.

You can see a reflection of the tree in the mirror.

I cannot wait for you to see the reveal on November 21st,

as I stated above, this will be different

and something that I have wanted to do for a long time.

So that is what I have been up to this week.

I did go to an estate sale this past weekend and found

Chef la Vache ….

The message is on paper as my chalk is packed away!

  5. Your guest room looks very inviting. Love the blue and white bedding ensemble. I hate to admit it but we ordered a new tree and wanted to make sure everything worked and that we really liked it so we put it up in the living room. I’m not decorating it yet though (pretending it’s not really there- lol). Looks like your new design for the tree is going to be beautiful!

  6. Your guest room is beautiful with its blue and white theme! I love your estate sale find. He is adorable! Can’t wait to see your beautiful Christmas decorations! Enjoy your day!

I love the bedding on your guest bed. What a great estate find!

  8. Your guest room is gorgeous! You may have posted about the lamps before, but I love them. Can you tell me where you got them?

  9. Beautiful…I love the blue and white bedding.

  10. Shirley,
The guest bedroom is beautiful and quite a retreat! I am loving the comforter and lamps. Could you please reveal where you found the blue/white comforter? Cant wait to see what you have planned for the tree this year! I found a beautiful teal color glass tree at HomeGoods this week that I am going to use for my mantle this year and will be using teal, white and gold as my primary Christmas colors this year. Happy Decorating!!

  11. The guest room is so pretty! Now about that tree…did you go buy new stuff or did you find your decorations in storage?

  12. I LOVE the bed linens!! May I ask where you purchased the comforter etc please?

  13. Just beautiful Shirley! I love your signature blue and white and the photo of the reflection of your tree in the mirror is spectacular! It puts me in the Christmas spirit! Keep Calm and Decorate On. ♥

  14. Anja Mossink says

Your Christmas tree is so lovely. Gorgeous guest room.

  15. Guest room looks ready for guests. But a Christmas tree on Halloween? Did I miss something? LOL! 😉

  16. JoAnn Mooney says

Your guest room is lovely, Shirley! I love that all your Christmas decor is stored in one of your extra rooms. That should help with all the decorating you do!

  17. You’ve made the cottage look like your very own. You may not want to leave it!

  18. Gorgeous guest rooms – I’m sure visitors love the pampering! Your rental really looks like home and I’m sure makes the wait for the new one easier. When we built our house, we rented a house that was way too small, so all the pretty things ended up in storage. It was worth it if course, but it would have been really nice to have had the rental feel more like “us.” Your tree is off to a stunning start! Jane

  19. Shirley, I love a blue and white bedroom and your guest room is beautiful. The tree already looks amazing, I can’t wait for the reveal!

  20. Alycia Nichols says

Get it, girl!!!!!! I admire you for jumping right into the spirit of Christmas decorating! I’m right behind you since my back makes me go so much slower than in “the good old days.” This room is spectacular! My favorite blue and white combo!!!
