Hello Dear Readers!
Hope you are having a great summer and magnificent Monday.
Mondays can truly be magnificent especially
when it’s a Monday Morning Blooms Day
when I share some fabulous floral inspiration
along with my fantastic floral friends,
Lidy, Mary and Pam.
I am always in awe of their most beautiful and creative floral creations.
Their links to their posts along with their ever so beautiful images,
are below for you to enjoy and gain inspiration.
Our common theme today is Peaches.
What is summer without delicious peaches and their wonderful scent.
So join me for:
Summer Peaches and Flowers.
Let’s start out by listing the flowers that I chose:
“Peachy” Alstroemeria
“Peachy” Roses
“Peachy’ Double Flower Kalanchoe
Yellow Gerbera Daisies with a “Peachy” Center
Non “Peachy” Baby’s Breath
I love adding fruit to my arrangements.
.
Since I used a pitcher for the flower arrangement,
tucking a skewered peach amongst the flowers was easy,
I began my centerpiece on the table
by choosing this bowl to place the peaches in.
I shopped the house for more pieces
such as my Juliska Country Estate pitcher
for the perfect compliment to the bowl.
The main flower arrangement needed company.
So I added this sweet ironstone pitcher/creamer.
The centerpiece/vignette is there
to set the stage to serve, what else, peach pie.
So out came my favorite melamine dishes.
Cambridge Rose by QSquared.
It’s actually a bread and butter plate,
but I use it for all kinds of purposes.
I have even used it as a coaster!
I originally purchased those cute plates
in a shop on Martha’s Vineyard.
Since, I have found more on Wayfair and for much less.
You can purchase a set of 4 plates for $10.99
Immediately after I photographed the table,
I handed my hubby the plate of peach pie.
He was a happy camper.
I usually love to have a great cup of coffee with my pie;
however,I am thinking that a wonderful glass
of Peach Tea would be great too!
I purchased the napkins from Pottery Barn a couple of years ago.
Silverware from Horchow.
I love creating floral vignettes using a bread board as its base.
Have I mentioned how much I love my antique French Armoire?
Hope you enjoyed my Summer Peaches and Flowers today.
Now it is time to visit my ever so talented
Monday Morning Blooms friends!
The link to the posts are below their stunning images.
Enjoy!

Have a most beautiful day everyone!!!
Another update on the Hickory Cottage is coming soon!

Just beautiful Shirley! I have Juliska pitcher envy every time I see yours and am always combing the aisles at HG just in case I might spy a cousin or distant relative to it there. 🙂 I love your pretty combination of ‘just peachy’ flowers, Gerberas are always so cheery. Your Cambridge Rose dishes are so pretty, I wouldn’t have known they were melamine if you hadn’t said so. Peach pie sounds like a great choice for breakfast this morning too! Thank you for the beauty this morning. As always it’s a treat to start my Mondays with my flower loving friends. ♥
Thank you Mary…I will be on the lookout for you too!!
Love it Shirley and the peaches add fun to the flowers. Love the dishes too.
Cindy
Hi Cindy…thank you so much!
Shirley, I love your peachy flowers. The yellow Gerber daises with a peachy center are new to me. They are so pretty and perfect in your arrangement. The alstroemeria, roses, and baby’s breath are a great combination and adding the fresh peaches echoes the peach theme. How pretty your vignette is on your cutting board. I remember admiring it years back and I finally bought one.
I love the blue and white dishes with the peaches and peach-colored flowers. Great Monday morning blooms post.
I would love a piece of peach pie topped with ice cream.
Hi Bonnie! As soon as I completed photographing the table, the hubby was the happy recipient of the pie!
Your arrangement is beautiful. I love seeing the different ways you and the others interpret the theme. Peaches are my favorite fruit. Normally I wouldn’t choose peach colored flowers. But now I see how beautiful they can be.
I used to use the color of peach often way back in the 80’s…just love the happy colors! Thank you Nancy!
Shirley, every floral arrangement you create is stunning, but I think this perhaps is my favorite! The blue and the peach color theme is exquisite, as well as your photography. This is so magazine worthy, Flower magazine should be contacting you dear friend. The armoire makes for a beautiful background…sigh! It is a pleasure to share Monday Morning Blooms with you❤️
Aww..thanks so very much Pam!! I am always in awe of your creations!
Peach and blue go so well together. Your vignette is lovely.
I used to have a peach and blue bathroom waay back in the 80’s…thanks so much Penny!
Your beautiful peach vignette definitely looks good enough to eat! I love the way you added the skewered peaches to the flower arrangement Shirley, they look wonderful with your peach colored blooms! All the Monday Morning Bloom posts have left my mouth watering! So fresh and summery!
Hi Jenna….Yes all the Monday Morning Blooms friends have done such a beautiful rendition of flowers and peaches!
Have a wonderful week! thank you!!
i’m in love…with peaches and pretty flowers. this is gorgeous shirley!
Thank you Laura!
Every flower in this arrangement is smiling, I know it! They all combine so beautifully, and the peaches on skewers add that perfect touch. Then, your blue and white, it’s always elegant, isn’t it? Thank you for sharing your talents and all the beauty, it’s always such a joy to share our Monday Morning Blooms with you. xoxo Lidy
Thank you my dear fellow “Bloomer” !!
These colors together are so pretty. Peaches are my favorite and I bought more yesterday at the farmers market. Good drive, but so worth it. I told hubby if you ever need to work you could be a florist. 🙂
Oh thank you Kim! 🙂
Ooh I do love this! The peach theme is wonderful! Love how you coordinated the fruit with the florals and kept it real peachy!
Thank you ….love combining fruit and flowers together!
Beautiful! I love the unexpected color combination. But…what kind of skewers do you use that enable the peaches to hang below the lip of the pitcher?!?
I used regular food skewers. The skewer sat on the edge of the pitcher and was supported by the stems of the flowers…hope this helps.
Ahhh…love how you added the touches of the Kalanchoe and dared to skewer the peaches to
highlight the arrangement…then combined it all with the blue & white, Shirley.. almost
as refreshing as the peach pie…
Thanks so much!
So soft and pretty your arrangement is, Shirley! I couldn’t believe it when you said the peaches were real. I thought for sure they’d weigh down the arrangement. I can imagine the fragrance!
Oh the scent was wonderful Rita…and the hubby got to eat part of the arrangement!
Shirley, your Juliska Country Estate pitcher is beautiful filled with blooms and peaches. Love the pretty blue and white. The vignette is lovely, full of color and style. A pleasure to see your pretty blooms, with peaches.
Thank you so very much Linda!!
This is such a beautiful post Shirley! I love peaches AND flower arrangements, so this is irresistible!! I’m so excited about the peach theme that I’m going to jump on the train and do a peach tablescape myself before August is over! Thanks so much for the beautiful inspiration! ♥
