How to create Fall inspired rooms with French Country decor.
A Fall Home tour.
Hello Dear Readers!
A few years ago,
I participated in a A French Country Fall Home Tour
presenting my former Great Room
My inspiration for this room was the leopard print pillows.
Or was it my leopard print shoes?!!!
Pottery Barn had wonderful tortoise inspired
vases and candleholders.
Tall candlesticks, Sheaves of wheat,
a trio of pumpkins and bread boards
adorn the mantel.
The Leopard print velvet pumpkin
from Plush Pumpkin
along with the other velvet pumpkins
seemed to be perfect accessories for the room.
And a pumpkin of twisted iron.
A tortoise vase, an ironstone bowl
filled with beautiful green apples,
a vintage French book
and French lavender sit upon a breadboard.
I so love my French Commode that I bought
on my “bloggers shopping trip”
to Normandy, France.
That trip was so much fun!
Pillows of blues, brown, green and gold
give the sofa it’s Fall look
without the usual images of pumpkins and fall leaves.
Pheasants remind me of the days
of when we lived in Iowa
and my dad would bring home
the bounty of his hunting trip.
I prefer seeing them live or on a pillow 🙂
and not on a plate!
I love the Fall and love to decorate my home
in warm colors yet love the softer colors
incorporated in my decor too.
We hope to get into the new house soon and decorate for Fall.
Hope you enjoyed my “re-run” of my former Great Room
dressed for Fall. So dreaming of cooler temps
and the vibrant leaves of Fall.
On a personal note:
My posts will be bit “scattered” here and there.
Working hard at taking care of details with the new house
and life’s little unexpected nuisances.
I am great and my hubby keeps me laughing every day!
I wish you a most beautiful day filled with love and laughter too!
