The Great Room Simply Decorated for Christmas

Hello Dear Readers!

It’s been a while.

Today, I am joining my fabulous Monday Morning Bloom friends,

Lidy, Mary, and Pam.

Our common theme today is garlands and wreaths

with the help from the great folks from

Tree Classics.

Join me as I present . . .

The Great Room Simply Decorated for Christmas.

The links and images to Lidy’s, Mary’s and Pam’s

beautiful posts are at the end of this  post.

Tree Classics sent me

the Woodlands Noble Fir Garland and Wreath.

and I decided that the best place for them

this year was the mantel.

Note that the garlands are 9 feet in length

and using two garlands made a wonderful

draping effect on the floor around my finials.

The wreath and garland are lighted via a battery pack.

Here is the mantel unlit:

Decorating while living in a rental home

has it’s challenges like the “box”

that held a TV over the fireplace.

I could not remove the framed print over the mantel

as there are lots of wires, etc behind it,

so I decided to think “out of the box”

and place the wreath over the framed print.

A close up of the garland on the mantel.

Due to the health issue I have been facing

for the past 5 months ( and I got this!)

and it is all about simplicity and “joy”.

The decor is simple and I am so enjoying it.

Like this simple vase of white flowers

that sit on the table next to “my chair”

Another simple blue and white container of hydrangeas

on the other table is perfect with a treasured

ornament that my granddaughter gave to us

with her beautiful artwork when she was 3 years old.

My hubby helped me put up this Clifton Pine tree

from Tree Classics a few years ago.

He placed it in the large blue and white vase

and it  took me less than an hour to decorate.

Favorite blue ornaments adorn the tree.

As you can see the tree is placed

against the glass doors that lead to the sunroom.

I cannot wait to decorate the sunroom next year

at the Hickory Cottage. Move in date around March, 2020.

So the stockings are hung

by the chimney with care. . .

And we know that St. Nicholas soon will be here!

And now it is time to visit

my ever so sweet and talented friends.

I wish you all a most beautiful day

doing the things you love

with the ones you love!

Note: Tree Classics provided me with the wreath
and garlands on my mantel. All glorious reviews
are entirely and joyfully my own!

And, on a personal note:
I hope to bring you an update on the Hickory Cottage
soon. Things are moving a little slowly now; however,
that is somewhat on purpose as my builder is trying
to go at my pace these days.
My surgery is scheduled for this week and I look
forward to beginning the successful healing process!
I thank you all for your continued thoughts and
prayers…I am truly blessed!
