Hello Dear Readers!
It’s that time again for another fabulous
Monday Morning Blooms,
when I, along with my wonderful flower loving friends,
Lidy, Mary and Pam present some ever so pretty
floral inspiration.
You can see their beautiful floral creations
with our common theme of Valentine’s Day
at the end of this post.
So sit back, grab your favorite beverage,
enjoy and hopefully get inspired for
your upcoming Valentine’s Day celebration.
Welcome to my Romantic Valentine Flowers and Sweets.
My inspiration for this Valentine’s Day Table
of Flowers and Sweets was the beautiful
handprinted urn that I acquired from
Amy. It’s Lenwile China, Ardalt ~ Japan.
The flowers that I chose for this
Valentine’s Day Flower Arrangement are:
Pink Roses
Blush Stock Roses
Pink Snapdragons
Pink Tulips
and Seeded Eucalyptus for filler
I love using tulips in my arrangements
as they have that beautiful
“cascading effect”
I love this urn as each side
has different scenes.
I began creating this arrangement
by placing the snapdragons in first.
Starting at the center to get height
that I wanted and formed a pyramid
type shape with the remainder of
the snapdragons. I worked my way down
from there alternating flowers.
.
Since Valentine’s Day is on a Friday
this year, I may just plan for a
quiet evening with the family.
As I was shopping at Trader Joe’s
for flowers, I found this really cute
heart shaped cake. Perfect for two!
I took a small salad/bread plate
and placed it on a brass candlestick
to create a petite footed cake plate.
I was able to get some really great
Baldwin brass candlesticks at a friend’s
estate sale, as my candlesticks are in
the “storage abyss”.
The heart shaped jelly beans are also from Trader Joe’s.
Definitely a one-stop shop that day!
I love to have beautiful flowers
on this coffee table
as I can see it being in the
great room, or the kitchen,
the breakfast area and the dining room.
That’s the advantage for having
an open concept plan. I am looking forward
to our new home with an open concept;
however, I will miss wall space!
Hope you enjoyed my Valentine’s Day
Flower Arrangement and sweet treats table.
I prepared/shopped and created this
in-between directing various contractors
on some final decisions.
It took a full day to give the electricians
guidance on hanging 13 hanging fixtures!
Hopefully I can give you an update soon
when I am able to take photos without
lots of large boxes and stuff on the floor!
This is the dining room chandelier.
It was the only room that the floor
wasn’t covered in boxes and packing material!

What a gorgeous urn and vessel for a Valentine’s Day theme floral arrangement Shirley! I love your combination of pinks with the pretty white tipped tulips, snaps and roses. A beautiful and delicious cake too…you’ve set the stage for a sweet celebration with your hubby. I’m oohing and ahhing over your gorgeous chandy. I used to stop in to feast my eyes at all the beauty at Currey and Company’s showroom at AmericasMart in Atlanta back in my retail days. Looking forward to seeing all you fixtures and updates to your new home, you’ll be moving in before you know it. ♥
Beautiful arrangement so beautifully done. Colors and textures of flowers are very pretty.
Love that chandelier and I look forward to seeing that beautiful home revealed and for you to move in.
Have a great day.
Thank you Sandra!

My heart went pitter patter when I spied the urn, it is gorgeous with its printed scenes! The lovely choice of flowers and your perfect arrangement is absolutely stunning on the chinoiserie coffee table. The Baldwin brass candle stands and your idea of creating a footed plate stand is genius. Oh how I wish we had a Trader Joe’s nearby instead of sixty miles away. Shirley, your floral arrangements are always perfection and it is a pleasure to join your for Monday Morning Blooms. Wishing you a wonderful day ❤️
That urn never looked better. What a beautiful arrangement! We have six more weeks of winter here as our groundhog saw his shadow on the one day we didn’t have clouds and rain. That’s ok we have spring weather today with a high of 71.
Gorgeous flowers! Such beauty. I love snapdragons and tulips. The elegant urn is fabulous also.
Your chinoiserie table is perfectly lovely set for Valentine dessert. That cake looks so delicious and pretty. I love how you used a candlestick for a footed cake plate.
You are blessed to have Trader Joes nearby. There is only one in the entire state of Alabama and it is 3 1/2 hours away for me.
Thank you Bonnie….Don’t know what I would do without Trader Joe’s nearby!

Trader Joe’s is always a treasure trove, and the heart cake is such a special treat! I know you must be over the moon with excitement {and decisions!} as your new house is getting it’s final touches…my daughter is in the same phase with her new house, they too are hanging fixtures and doing final touches for her Feb 28 deadline. I can’t wait to see more photos, the chandelier is so unique!! And a fireplace is fabulous in a dining room!

So beautiful, you’re great with floral arrangements! I don’t know if I’m bad at or inpatient and just plop in a vessel. You know how much I love that urn.
Your dining room chandelier is pretty. I say you can never have too many.

Shirley, what a beautiful arrangement, and each photo captures beautiful decor backdrops! I have an antique beaded purse with that same pastoral couple scene on it. It’s one of my favorites.
