Bringing the Beauty of Spring Indoors

Hello Dear Readers!

I am sure that with the health crisis

that we are all facing these days

and going forward into Spring,

we all are taking the time for reflection.

Reflecting on what is most important in our

lives. . . . Family, faith and friends,

and exhibiting compassion

and acts of kindness to others.

Today, it’s about

Bringing the Beauty of Spring Indoors.

Today, is the wonderful  Monday Morning Blooms day,

when Lidy, Mary, Pam and I

bring you a little ray of sunshine

and Spring to your day with flowers.

And, a big thank you to Lidy of FrenchGardenHouse

for creating our beautiful Spring MMB image.

Our common theme today is Spring.

There is a magnificent amount of

Spring flower inspiration

from the Monday Morning Blooms friends

today. Their images and links are

at the end of this post.

A little “Peek-A-Boo”

from one of the ceramic birds

I used for this Spring arrangement.

I decided to use Spring Bulbs today.

Daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths.

Placed in some favorite blue and white

bowls.  I used decorative rock and

faux eggs (from Amazon) to cover the soil.

I’ve been hanging about the house

these days. A trip in the car

here and there with the hubby

to get some fresh air,

mainly to the new house.

So many people are needing to keep safe

and others safe by self quarantine.

My physician told me that I need

to “err on the side of caution”

Truthfully, I’d rather be

making pretty flower arrangements

and placing them on the porches

of those who are sequestered

A “pretty” to make someone’s day

a little brighter.

I thought to myself. . .

what a time to have to deal with

having to be super cautious about

keeping healthy when in just a short time

we will be moving into our new home.

However, I have learned through

my experience in the past, that

you need to keep that positive attitude

and have faith that everything will fall

into place and will be O.K.

For this is the time to spend

time with our family, make the most

of a not so great situation and

pray for the thousands of people

here and around the world who are affected

and unfortunately those who may be affected

in the future by this scary virus.

Are you ready for some more

fabulous Spring flower inspiration?!!!

Then hop on over to Lidy’s, Mary’s and Pam’s

beautiful posts. The links are below their images.

Have a most beautiful day everyone!

Please stay safe and healthy  and keep those

who are less fortunate in your prayers.

We can beat this!

On a personal note:

We will be “on the move” soon.

Still lots of “odds and ends” to be done.

I wish I can bring you more photos of the inside

but staying away when there are lots of workers there.

Below is the photo of the house.

Most of the shutters are up and the landscaping started.

Landscaping to be finished this week and hopefully by

next week we will have a Certificate of Occupancy.

Shirley, I am also moving into my new home in a couple of weeks and am so excited. I have a question for you. If I were to dig up a few of my daffodils, tulips and hyacinths and put them into a bowl would they survive? I am in Zone 5 and they are just breaking ground. Love your arrangement. Thanks.

    • My granddaughter gave me some hyacinths in a sweet basket last year for Easter. When they stopped blooming, I cut back the dead leaves and truthfully forgot all about them in a corner of the laundry….a few weeks ago, I discovered that they were growing!…I did not water them, etc all that time!..so yes, you can dig them up and keep them in a cool dry place and they will re-bloom. When I moved, my friend dug up some of my irises and she was saving some for me to plant in the new house.

  13. Hi Shirley,
Love those blue shutters. Awesome! Looking so great. Yep you need to stay home for sure with your immunity still low. Less exposure to you the better. Crazy times we are living in. Love all your spring blossoms and the peek a boo bird is adorable and the little blue one too. Big Hugs. Stay home and safe sweet friend. xoxo

  14. Shirley, I’ve been watching and listening to gloomy news for days, so seeing all these beautiful spring flowers lifted my spirits long enough to realize things will eventually be ok again. The little birds peeking out from the flowers remind me of the cute one that was chirping on my back porch a few minutes ago. Also, I just want to say what a good example of kindness and grace you are. You always have something positive to say even though things have been difficult for you during your illness. I have said prayers for you and will continue to pray for your continuing road back to good health. Looking forward to seeing your new home decorated in the gorgeous fashion you do so well.

Your Spring bowl is pretty with the birdies. I’ve been seeing alot of cardinals, Robin’s, and bluebirds in the yard. Their chirping gives peace in this virus situation. Love the shutters and shutter dogs on your new house. Excited to see inside after you put your talented touch on inside. Take care like doctor said.

  16. I just LOVE this! Evidently I need a couple of bigger blue and white bowls. I only have small ones:) I also have not been out of the house, Joe and I are staying in for awhile. But I think I will need to go to the grocery tomorrow so am hoping to get some Spring bulb plants! The new house looks fabulous! The blue shutters remind me of my next door neighbor, 2 houses ago. Her shutters were blue and I always loved them. Stay safe, I know you are. XO

  17. Shirley, your spring bulb gardens are lovely in their blue and white pots. There couldn’t be a more perfect design for spring. Your new home is stunningly beautiful and I am certain your magic touches will create a gorgeous home. Do be good to you, stay well and follow your doctor’s advice.
