Flowers and Silver ~ A Book Cover Inspiration

Hello Dear Readers!

A very Happy Monday to you!

It’s always a great Monday when it is a

Monday Morning Blooms Day!

I am joining my wonderfully talented

Blooms friends, Lidy, Mary and Pam to

bring you some pretty flower inspiration today.

We are enjoying our “Anything Goes” theme

so here we are hoping to give you as much joy

as we have as we share adorning our homes and gardens

with the beauty of flowers.

The links to my flower adoring friends are

below their beautiful images at the bottom

of this post.

A friend recently gifted me a book

by James Farmer, titled, “Dinner on the Grounds”

I was mesmerized by the cover.

Unfortunately, I do not have a

silver trophy to use as a vase,

so I went to my silver storage area

and decided the silver teapots will do the trick.

Off to Trader Joe’s I went seeking

a variety of lavender and purple flowers.

Unfortunately theses days, more often than not,

there are slim pickings with the varieties of flowers.

They only had one bouquet of blue hydrangeas,

so white hydrangeas had to join the group.

Flowers used today are:

Blue and White Hydrangeas

Seeded Eucalyptus

Purple Statice

Purple Stock

Lavender Tulips

I usually place the Stock flower stems

in an upright position in my arrangements;

however, I am loving the way they cascade

over the teapots.

I have been waiting for the opportunity

to use my very large silver tray on my

new ottoman. So I decided to also use my

smaller teapot to fill with flowers.

We are happy that we finally have

a coffee table/ottoman.

He’s happy that he can rest his feet

on it and I am happy to be able to put

pretties on it! 🙂

The tufted ottoman was purchased from my

fav consignment shop (Always Home, Durham, NC)

It is a Drexel Heritage piece.  It originally had

a dated fabric so I had it recovered

in a soft gray fabric.

The very large silver tray was also

purchased from A.H. a while ago.

Hope you enjoyed my book cover inspiration

flower arrangement today.

I can tell you that you will really love, as always,

Lidy’s, Mary’s and Pam’s beautiful creations today!

Have a most beautiful day everyone . . .

Hopefully filled with sunshine and flowers!

Shirley, You have the best luck at your favorite consignment shop! The silver tray and ottoman are both generously and perfectly sized for entertaining and serving. I love your blooming teapots with your hydrangeas and stock…oh to have a Trader Joe’s nearby. I have a couple of James Farmer’s books in my ‘library’ 🙂 but I haven’t seen this one and added it to my wish list. It looks like it is full of delicious recipes as well as eye candy. As always it’s a treat to join you for some flower therapy. Happy Monday ♥

Your beautiful arrangement could be a book cover or magazine cover too.

Shirley, your ottoman is set so beautifully with your silver tray and teapots filled with gorgeous blooms. I have some of James Farmer’s books and can’t wait for his new one coming out in August. I also love his Instagram posts. I wish there was a Trader Joe’s close enough that I didn’t have to drive sixty miles to the nearest one. Not only do you have Trader Joe’s, but also that fabulous consignment shop where you have found some of the most beautiful and high-end pieces. It is always a pleasure to share Monday Morning Blooms with you♥️

So beautiful Shirley, your ottoman is the perfect place for pretties! The tray and blooming teapots are gorgeous, it certainly doesn’t look like your bloom choices were limited! Your tray of delights is much prettier than the inspiration photo, it is magazine/book cover worthy!

Such a beautiful arrangement, Shirley! I love how you used your gorgeous silver teapot with the flowers! I love silver, too, and often use it with flowers. I sure wish we had a Trader Joe’s near us here in Canada. They have such a wonderful variety of flowers! Your ottoman looks lovely! Glad you left your hubby room to put his feet up!

Enjoy your gorgeous home! Do hope you are keeping well!
