Hello Dear Readers!
I’m back again with another tablescape this week,
a Woodland Fall Tablescape.
I recently acquired some Woodland Spode
dinnerware and just could not wait to use them.
Join me and 6 additional blog friends
as we present our Fall Tablescapes
for your enjoyment and great Fall inspiration.
The links to their beautiful posts are at the
end of my post.
I had many ideas about the centerpiece
for the table . . . a garland of faux pumpkins and gourds,
a flower arrangement . . . however, when I spied my
vintage basket, I knew that a simple arrangement was
the choice for today’s table.
I began with a Orange Kalanchoe that I had
purchased for the house and simply tucked it
in the basket.
I had some seeded eucalyptus leftover from
my Fall Flower Tablescape with MacKenzie-Childs
along with some gerbera daises. I inserted the daisies
and eucalyptus in floral water tubes and placed them
in the vintage basket. A quick and easy centerpiece.
I discovered this vintage basket tucked into a corner
in an antique shop spattered with some cobwebs
without a sales tag. “Five dollars please and the
cobwebs are free”, said the shopkeeper. Sold!
I so love these Woodland Spode plates. I am adding
more to my collection; however, today I will just be working
with 4 salad plates.
The plaid runner was a find several years ago
at the Country Living Fair in Atlanta
from the vendor, French Laundry.
I thought the colors were perfect for Fall decor.
The chargers are from the Southern Living Collection
that I found at Dillard’s.
The dinner and large salad plate are Lenox Butler’s Pantry.
The napkins are natural European linen that have
a beautifully embroidered wheat sheaf.
I purchased these exquisite napkins from
Flatware from Horchow and stemware from Lenox.
This is a possible look for my Thanksgiving table.
I so hope that I can have Thanksgiving in our new
dining room this year. CV-19 has certainly more than
dampened so many wonderful celebrations this year.
I have always wanted a fireplace in my dining room
and finally got one. Now I just have to be patient
and wait until it is safe to have guests around the table
with the fire going! In the meantime, I shall just
live vicariously through setting the table
and hoping there will be love, laughter,
and memory making around it soon!
Now it is time to for you to visit my fellow
Fall Tablescape friends.

Lovely, Shirley! The tweed plaid runner is perfect with your handsome elements. It will be nice to visit all the blogs on your hop as well.
Shirley, this is so beautiful! The woodland plates are charming, and the runner is the perfect compliment. This is a wonderful table setting for autumn, and would be perfect for Thanksgiving too. It’s always so inspirational to visit you, you are so talented.
Hi Shirley
I cannot believe you found that basket for $5. I will take that entire table thank you. I love the Woodland Spode. I am not fond of holiday specific dinnerware but that Spode is a perfect fall winter option. Oh and did I mention the runner and those gorgeous napkins? That tablescape is right up my alley! I think we have similar taste! Thank you so much for joining us! I knew it would be gorgeous!
Shirley, I love your layered fall table with your woodland Spode and your brown plaid table runner. Sor any fall gatheirng!
Beautiful table scape Shirley. Love your plates so pretty. The centerpiece in the basket is perfect. Love it all. Happy Thursday sweet friend. Hope you are doing well. xoxo Kris
Shirley this table is so beautiful. Every element speaks to me, love the Woodland Spode with all that lush texture on your table and that vivid orange centerpiece. The plaid runner with the linen napkins are perfect. I have so much empathy about Covid and how it’s kept so many loved ones apart. I do hope you’ll be able to have your lovely table full of family and friends soon. xo

Beautiful Woodland Fall Tablescape. Love the Spode….never seen any on antiquing trips. Great score on your basket.
Shirley, you have so many pretties set upon your table creating a most beautiful tablescape. I have always loved the Spode Woodland pattern. You always create the most gorgeous floral arrangements and this one is no exception. I love the idea of using the antique basket! So pretty!
Dear Shirley, What a beautiful mix here on your table! I love the Spode and the chargers, the gorgeous napkins and the runner..with your flowers and basket are so lovely together. How wonderful to have collected all these pieces over time! You cannot replicate that- and it’s uniquely you. I think fireplaces in the dining room are so cozy. I am with you about gatherings. Really missing that this year.. It’s been nice to do this with you and the others and find your blog through this link up! I look forward to reading more posts! Kim
As usual, I like yours the best! The orange Kalanchoe reminds me of a birthday gift from my hubby our first year together. I love your basket and the story that came with it! Treasure hunting is so fun! I also love your plates, especially the salad plates, and how you bring everything together. I hope that you get to enjoy this Thanksgiving with your family! Our daughter, her husband and their children all had COVID-19 and are recovered so the blessing of it is that we can be together now without much concern. 😊
Shirley your table is so elegant & beautiful! I love the pop of the gerbera daisies and the Spode plates. Good for you re: the fireplace in your dining room! xx
Shirley, I am such a fan of the Spode “Woodland”, it is the perfect autumn pattern! I have sixteen dinner plates and hope to add some more pieces. The tweed runner’s colors highlight the Spode and the beautiful floral arrangement. I love the use of the basket that provides lovely texture. I hope it won’t be long until you can have guests in your gorgeous dining room with a fire burning for warmth and ambiance!
Love those Woodland plates and can imagine being inspired to create a fall tablescape but maybe not as lovely as yours! Happy fall and bravo!
Your tablescape is absolutely lovely as always but I am impatiently waiting to see your beautiful new home tour!
I am late to the party but love your beautiful table! The dishes are so pretty and those napkins are gorgeous! We are still up in the air about Thanksgiving, don’t know yet if we will be able to get together. If we can’t I will make a small turkey for just Joe and I and we will BE THANKFUL for all our wonderful blessings. Have a great Sunday!!!
Beautiful Shirley as always. We can’t wait to get into our new home. Where did you get your table runner? So pretty to anchor your beautiful tablescape!
