Hello Dear Readers!
Welcome to another great Monday Morning Blooms!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Today, I, along with my flower passionate friends,
Lidy, Pam, and Mary, are presenting inspiration
for your home and gardens with beautiful flowers.
The links to their posts are at the
bottom of this post below their beautiful images.
I am a bit “out of the box” today… presenting
A Fall Tablescape Using Blue, White and Green.
When browsing the sale on the Williams Sonoma website,
I found the Schumacher salad plates that I have been
longing for and …. they were on sale!
It is truly the pattern and the colors that I’m always drawn to.
I know that if my mom sat at this
Fall/Thanksgiving table,
she would be very pleased.
Thanksgiving for many, many of us
will be different this year;
however, I know we will all look
forward to the next one and spending
time with our family and extended family.
The color combination of blue, white and green
is probably one of my very favorites.
So happy that I obtained these pretties on sale!
The fabulous monogrammed napkins are from
The Collected Nest. You can find Amy’s
lovelies on Instagram.
I actually took lots of photographs of this table
before I realized, why not crank up the fireplace.
So I did and started all over again.
Knowing the color scheme I was going
to use for this table today, I headed
to Trader Joe’s in search of flowers.
I found hydrangeas in the blue, white and green shades.
along with a beautiful shade of apple green mums
and added the graceful filler of Baby’s Breath.
The flowers were placed in 3 separate Dollar Store
vases that were placed in the blue and white container.
Note: I found this beautiful blue and white container
years ago at my fav shop, Always Home in Durham, N.C.
See that twinkling in the background?
Yes, that’s a Christmas tree that I
am going to be decorating and using
as a backdrop for the next Monday Morning Blooms.
See more details below.
Here’s a sneak peek of the undecorated tree.
So back to the table!
My dining room is off the foyer,
so as soon as you walk into my home,
you will be greeted by this Christmas Tree.
A blue and white egg cup holds a velvet acorn.
Place cards being thankful for
the family at the table.
I am thankful and blessed.
Thanksgiving was always my dad’s favorite holiday.
The holiday when all the family and extended family
gather to be thankful for one another and enjoy
dad’s favorite meal of the year. He is so much more
missed at this time as we know how much this day
meant to him……family.
From the Dining Room into the Foyer . . .

And it would not be our family’s Thanksgiving
tablescape without our “Graylyn’s Turkey!”

Monday Morning Blooms, I want to

Happy Monday…..Happy Fall from our house to yours!
Have a most beautiful day!!!

Gorgeous table and arrangement Shirley! I love your color palette provided by your WS plates, they have your (and your mom’s 🙂 name written on them. I bet your fireplace will feel wonderful on this chilly morning. How wonderful to have your dining room table by a fireplace. What a nice surprise to see your Christmas tree and twinkling lights. Graylyn’s Turkey is adorable and many of us will be missing family members at our Thanksgiving table this year. As always it’s a treat to share blooms with you on these Mondays. Happy November ♥
Shirley, I also love blue, white, and green for any season. Your arrangement and table are so gorgeous. I would love a seat at your table and would enjoy conversation for hours in front of the beautiful fireplace. There is quite a chill in the air this morning, so a fire would be nice. I also eyed the WS salad plates, good for you that you got them on sale. I can just imagine how much you will enjoy decorating your home for Christmas this year…I know it will be stunning. I love that you included Graylyn’s turkey, what sweet memories of her younger days.
It is always a pleasure sharing blooms with you. Wishing you a beautiful Monday ♥️
Shirley, your table is stunning and the fire in the background was the perfect accessory. My eye immediately went to the eggcup with the velvet acorn. The Schumacher pattern is one of my favorites. And Graylyn’s Turkey was the absolutely perfect touch!
Shirley, what a beautiful table setting! I also snagged those salad plates from the WS sale (even after a mishap in shipping) and look forward to using them too. The Schumacher print is gorgeous. Your flowers are the perfect match, and your other elements complement the overall look handsomely. How nice to have your first fireside table setting! I cannot wait to see the sponsored posts you gals will be doing on the 16th. I know already I will look forward to seeing your tables and the gifts you’ll be using. Happy November, Shirley. Have a beautiful week!
Such a beautiful setting! I am actually going to decorate my guest room in blues and greens! Love your new plates.
Your unique color scheme makes me smile Shirley, and it is perfect for a Southern table where hydrangeas are still in bloom and softer colors make sense. I can see why you fell for those beautiful plates, the colors are so welcoming and the design has a sophisticated Asian feel. The sparkle of your tree in the background adds excitement and a hint of the holidays to come. I am crazy about your velvet acorn, so pretty! I can’t wait to see all the posts on Nov 16 with a luscious linen giveaway! It is wonderful to see you enjoying your beautiful new home 🙂
Good morning! A beautiful arrangement and table. Very pretty small plates too.
Beautiful as always Shirley. Happy November. Big Hugs. Kris

I love sharing our special Monday Morning Blooms with you, and can’t wait until next time! Happy November
Such a sweet table, love the flower container and the blooms and the way you used the egg cups. P.S. I made one of those pine cone turkeys when I was very young. It was brought out every Thanksgiving until it fell apart.
I love your `out of the box` Fall tablescape. Beautiful colors anytime of year. Graylyn’s turkey is cute! Looking forward to your Christmas tree decor.
Beautiful table and stunning centerpiece with adorable hydrangas!
What a beautiful table and arrangement, Shirley! The WS plates are gorgeous! I also LOVE that container you placed the flowers in. I am trying to figure out how you fit 3 vases in it;). You are having so much fun decorating your beautiful new home, I am so happy for you! I hope you are able to see your immediate family for Thanksgiving, I hope we can too. I got all my Fall packed away today and CLEANED, then started on Christmas. Didn’t get a lot done but will continue tomorrow. Have a beautiful week!!!! XO
