A Christmas Tablescape of Classic, Casual Elegance and A Giveaway

Hello Dear Readers!

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Christmas decorating is full steam ahead

at the Hickory Cottage.

It is our first Christmas in our new home,

so obviously a very special one for us.

Speaking of special we have a very special

Monday Morning Blooms Day for you.

I, along with my flower passionate friends

Lidy, Mary and Pam are so excited to bring

you great Christmas Joy.

Today I bring you,

A Christmas Tablescape of Classic, Casual Elegance

We are collaborating

with Crown Linen Designs

and Arte Italica

each of us featuring some

of their luxurious table linens,

exquisite Arte Italica dinnerware/serveware

and much more.

And there is a fabulous GIVEAWAY

of some of their luxurious linens and a

gorgeous piece from their Arte Italica line.

See details of the giveaway and rules for entry below.

The links to my flower loving friends are below

their beautiful images at the bottom of this post.

One of the items that the wonderful

people of Crown Linen Designs sent me

was this exquisite Merletto White Scalloped Pitcher

from their Arte Italica line.

I arranged the pitcher with:

White Alstroemeria

White Canterbury/Bellflower

White Stock Roses

Eucalyptus and Baby’s Breath for filler.

Crown Linen Designs (based in Kirkland, Washington)

works with linen producers and embroidery artists

in Eastern Europe to create exceptional linen pieces

for the table, kitchen, bed and bath.

Linen is made from flax fibers, it’s 100% renewable, biodegradable.

Linen is also durable and can last generations

and  becomes even better with time.

Crown Linen Designs’ founder, Victoria Fanning, states

“every person’s life should be filled with beauty.

Beautiful things elevate, and inspire and stir us.

They instill a sense of gratitude

and ignite a sense of wonder.”

Love the way the Merletto Scalloped Pitcher

shines in the foreground of the Christmas tree

in the foyer….one of many trees to come!

The Merletto Scalloped White Pitcher is a part of the Arte Italica line.

Each piece is hand crafted by skilled artisans

in Italy

who hand down their craft to future generations.

Did I mention how much I love this

beautiful pitcher?

In love with the scalloped handle too!

Do you know when Christmas decorating is in full swing  here? . . .

When the camera has flecks of glitter on it

and the fireplace is on . . . even in 80 degree weather!

The oh so beautiful Victorian Table Runner

is serving as a base for my table centerpiece.

You will also see it a future post used in another way.

The gold embroidery is magnificent.

The Victorian (White/Gold) napkins

are large and luxurious!

My choice of the dinnerware for the table is

Royal Albert Old Country Roses/Seasons of Colour.

I have had this pattern for many years and the pattern

in the salad plates of topiaries is what drew me to it.

Stemware by Marquis Waterford.

Flatware by Horchow.

A gold charger was placed under the plate stack

and the generous size of the Round White Ruffled Placemat

allows room to showcase the ruffle

when a charger is used or silverware is easily

placed on it when a charger is not present.

I have used these “clip on candles” in many ways

throughout the years. Thought I would clip them

to the charger for the “unexpected”.

This is the first tree that I decorated

in the new house. You can see it

as you enter our home.

Decorating Christmas trees have always

been a joy and passion for me.

I not only curated today’s tablescape

with fine linens from Crown Linen Designs,

I dressed the chairs

with their fine linens too!

I placed a Merry Christmas

embroidered linen kitchen towel

on the back of the dining room side chairs.

There is a loop on the towel

that is perfect for hanging any

decorative element you wish.

When the towel is draped over the chair

on the inside there is a pretty

embroidered crown … their logo.

Let’s not forget the chairs at each

end of the table.  Many times I place

a lumbar pillow in those chairs to add comfort.

When I saw the beautifully embroidered

“It’s a Wonderful Life” pillow,

I knew it belonged in my home!

The exquisite linens/pillows adorn the chairs with  sentiments

of wishing my family/guests a Merry Christmas

and to remind them that “It’s A Wonderful Life”

And now on to the Giveaway!

The wonderful company, Crown Linen Designs/Arte Italica

is offering a most beautiful Arte Italica Natale Tray and

a set of Crown Napkins and
