Hello Dear Readers!
I hope you have enjoyed your weekend
and you are ready for some wonderful
flower inspiration during these winter months.
Join me today for Monday Morning Blooms
along with my flower loving friends, Mary and Pam
(Lidy was unable to join us today)
bringing you one of the things that
brings us joy ….. flowers!
The links to their posts are
below their beautiful images
at the bottom of this post.
Spring bulb flowers have been on my mind,
so I present:
A CONTAINER GARDEN IN SILVER
We had our very first snowfall; however,
it did not last long and only dusted the
ground with a beautiful blanket of white.
I am all about thinking about the Spring Bulb
flowers appearing at the grocery stores.
The grocery store had its usual selection of
flowers…however, had a great selection of
potted spring bulb flowers . . .
Hyacinths, tulips, mini daffodils.
I had picked up some
hydrangeas, white stock roses and asters.
When I saw the rack of the potted
spring flowers, I thought…hmmm…
I could create a combination of
fresh flowers and small potted ones.
I polished up my silver trophy bowl
and placed the potted flowers with their
sleeves in the middle of the bowl.
Wet floral foam pieces were placed
around the inner edges/circumference of the bowl to secure
the potted flowers and to provide for the
the cut flowers, of hydrangeas, stock roses, and asters.
I wasn’t quite certain how my
part potted flowers and cut flowers
arrangement would work out.
I had a “Plan B”.
However, I do like the way it
all came together.
When the cut flowers have seen their day,
then I still have the potted flowers to
plant and enjoy!
Now it is time to visit my wonderfully
talented flower friends. They have
lots of beautiful inspiration to
whisk away those winter blues!!

Shirley, Your silver bowl is beautiful with your combination of spring bulbs and flowers! Such a pretty promise of spring and fresh vignette with your silver cups and pitcher of orchids and mums, and with your handsome armoire in the background. I love the fragrance of hyacinths but haven’t seen any in my area stores yet. So happy to be joining for some flower therapy on this cold winter day. Stay warm ♥

Shirley, your love of finer things really shines in this display! The bulbs and cut flowers look amazing in that grand bowl, as do the trio of orchids and mums in the smaller vessels. This jumpstarts my spring loving heart in a very good way. Happy Monday, my friend. Thank you for the joy you bring!
Shirley, this vignette is stunning in front of the gorgeous armoire. Have I told you that I have armoire envy? The silver bowl was the perfect vessel for a mix of lovely spring bulbs and fresh flowers and perched upon the most perfect book. The orchids and mums are beautiful in the trio of silver cups and pitcher. Like Mary, I love the heady fragrance of hyacinths. You have given us the hope of spring in the middle of a cold and gray January day. It is always a pleasure to join your for floral inspiration and to share Monday Morning Blooms. Enjoy your day!
Shirley, your arrangement is gorgeous and has me dreaming of spring! It looks so pretty displayed on that lovely coffee table. I have been on the lookout for a coffee table just like that one. Hopefully, I will find one. Take care, and happy Monday!
Shirley, I did notice how sparkling your silver bowl was before you mentioned it. I also had noticed in some previous posts that you do a good job of keeping your silver all polished. That takes time and effort and does make a difference.
I love spring bulbs and incorporating them with fresh flowers was a great idea. I had not thought of clustering the bulbs and using oasis around them. Great idea.
Thanks for the lovely MMB post today. I’m yearning for spring.
Have a great day.
I love your silver bowl with the beautiful bulb flowers all together. Just gorgeous as always. This one made me smile today. I am looking at snow and no sunshine so the Monday morning blooms were so appreciated. Hope you are doing well. Big Hugs and happy new week.
xoxo

Shirley, here in Canada, it’s very cold & snowy! Your beautiful flower arrangement brings a lot of sunshine! I love the silver bowl you have displayed your floral arrangement in. Everything looks so pretty on your lovely coffee table with your gorgeous armoire in the background! Enjoy! Have a great week! Thanks for always bringing us such gorgeous floral arrangements! They are always a bright spot in our day! With covid restrictions here in our province, we can’t even buy flowers — or magazines — as they are a “non essential” item! Look forward to when things ease up a bit here as we are on total lockdown.
I would love to see some spring flowers at the grocery. Right now all we have is the usual fare and Valentines arrangements etc. Your trophy bowl looks so beautiful with the combination you chose. Love the little mini orchids too. I don’t think I have ever seen your large glass pineapple! That is beautiful too!!!! Have a great week. Ours is to be COLD and WINDY. UGH
Shirley it is absolutely beautiful! I love the silver with the pastel spring flowers!
Such s beautiful arrangement, at any time of year, but especially now. The mix of fresh flowers and flowering bulbs is delightful, planted in your silver trophy bowl it’s gorgeous! Miss you friends today, next time I’ll be back for our beloved MMB!xo Lidy
Shirley, this is one of the most beautiful arrangements you’ve created. So pretty with the hope of spring.
Happy 2021.
Shirley, what a lovely influencer you are! After reading this I went online and ordered the book under your beautiful flower arrangement.
Just the “breath of spring” that I needed today!
Absolutely stunning! How delicate and beautiful.
