Flowers and Candy for Valentine’s Day

Hello Dear Readers!

Welcome to another fabulous Monday Morning Blooms Day!

The theme for today has to be one of my favorites…

Valentine’s Day!

Lidy, Mary, Pam and I hope to give you

some great Valentine’s Day inspiration for your home.

You can see their exceptional Valentine’s Day

celebration with flowers at the end of this post.

The links to their posts are below their

exquisite images.

Today I  bring you….

Flowers and Candy for Valentine’s Day

I decided to use one of my favorite china

patterns to celebrate Valentine’s Day with you.

A pattern that I have had for many, many years.

Royal Albert Old Country Roses.

One of the serving bowls was the

perfect piece for the flower arrangement.

I used wet floral foam in the bowl

to secure the flowers.

The flowers that I chose were:

Pink Stock Roses

Pink Tulips

Lavender Stock

Lavender Alstroemeria

As I was browsing the flowers at Trader Joe’s

there was not a great selection of red florals that day.

I had remembered the candy that I  purchased a few days earlier

were pink and purple Dove hearts…

so that sealed the deal on the colors of

the flowers for today’s arrangement.

You may have noticed that there are

more than just flowers in the arrangement.

I found some heart shaped lollipops and I attached

them to large floral picks (with floral tape).

As I was setting the table, I realized

that this was the first tablescape I created

in the newly wallpapered dining room!

Oh how I love the new look of this room.

Wallpaper is Hydrangea Drape by Schumacher.

Plate stack on a gold charger topped with

a Crown Linen Designs Victorian Large Napkin.

Gold beaded flower napkin ring by Bombay Co.

I found these $1.00 boxes of Valentine’s Day

chocolates at the grocery store and thought

they would make great little “parting” gifts

and a place card could be easily attached

to these boxes OR, you can create your own

heart shaped message and place over the top

of the candy box,

which I plan to do.

This year my mom will be here for

Valentine’s Day as she will be staying with us

for two months. I shall take that time to

enjoy every minute with her. She is a JOY!

Hope you enjoyed my Valentine’s Day Tablescape.

The very first one in my newly decorated

dining room. Well, I should say, partially

decorated as the wallpaper created that

“domino effect” and I am on the hunt for

some pieces to place on each side of the fireplace.

Now it is time for some fabulous

Valentine’s Day inspiration from my

dear flower loving friends.

their most beautiful images. Enjoy!!!

Beautiful Shirley! I’ve always loved Royal Albert Old Country Roses! It’s makes for such a pretty table and your bowl is the perfect vessel for your flowers. I love the sweet addition of the heart lollies too. What a treat to see your newly wallpapered dining room. I know you won’t rest until the ‘domino effect’ is resolved and you have a new treasure from your favorite consignment store to fill in the spaces. ‘-) Enjoy this time with your sweet mom and February to you. ♥

Shirley, the Schumacher wallpaper is stunning! When I first saw it on IG, I was totally smitten. The flowers that you chose…the pink spray roses, pink tulips, and lavender stock are so beautiful in the Royal Albert bowl. I agree with Mary, I have always loved the Old Country Roses pattern, so perfect for a Valentine’s setting. The Crown Linens placemats and napkins complete your beautiful table setting. I know you will enjoy this time with your mom, what a blessing to have her. It is always a great pleasure to share Monday Morning Blooms with you. Happy February!

Shirley, your dining room is stunning! This is one of my favorite wallpaper patterns. It just made the room! Your tablescape is so beautiful with that pretty china and gorgeous floral arrangement. Old Country Roses is one of my favorite china patterns. I gifted my mom a set this year for Christmas as she had always admired it. I think it will be fun finding new pieces to add to the collection. I know you are excited for your sweet mom to visit. Enjoy your time together! Take care, and have a most beautiful day!

Oh, how fresh! Just what my January tired eyes needed on this first day of February, Shirley! Your new wallpaper is beautiful. Your designer’s eye made a gorgeous floral display out of the soothing pinks and purples.

Shirley, your floral arrangement is so beautiful — as are your lovely dishes and napkins! How nice to find your post this morning and view your gorgeous flowers! We have so much snow here! With all the tight covid restrictions, there are no flowers to be had as they are not an “essential” item. It will be so nice to be able to get flowers again. There’s nothing like beautiful fresh flowers.

So nice that you will have your dear Mom with you. I know you will have such a nice time with her.

    Have a wonderful week! Blessings!
