Hello Dear Readers!
Welcome to Monday Morning Blooms
as I share with you, some great flower inspiration
with my Bloom friends, Mary, Lidy, and Pam.
Bonnie of Living With Thanksgiing,
is our Special Guest today.
Today I am sharing,
The Joy of Blue and White and Flowers
The links to my Bloom friends’ beautiful posts are below.
I thought I would share with you, my love
for blue and white curated on my dining room table
with white flowers … and a pop of pink!
I gathered my favorite blue and white vases
and containers and created simple floral
arrangements. Simply placed the flowers
in a vase/container of water and floral life…
no wet floral foam or other floral accessories required.
I sprayed the flowers with Crowning Glory Floral
preservative the day before I arranged the flowers.
The first vessel that I arranged was my favorite…
the Carolina Tobacco jar. A jar that is always filled with flowers.
The flowers in the larger Carolina jar are:
White Tulips and White Stock
with Eucalyptus as a filler.
Table Runner by Amy Montgomery Home.
The reverse side of the runner has a beautiful
blue and white floral pattern. Used the geometric
side and the flowers in the runner were competing with the vases.
There’s a new “Carolina Jar” in town.
A gift from a friend who was downsizing her collections.
So to make it a “star” I placed an entirely different
color from the other arrangements in it.
Pretty double petal tulips.
The vase on the left contain:
White Stock Roses and White Alstroemeria.
This vase is a part of a set of three with a
floral and bird design that appear on the table.
I thought about not using the pretty in pink tulips;
however, I truly felt that the pop of color against all of
the blue and white would be a good thing.
The taller vase of the set of three vases
holds the pretty long stems of White Stock.
A few stems of Eucalyptus added for more texture.
It was truly a lot of fun arranging the vases
of flowers on the table.
This centerpiece is for making the dining room
pretty in flowers and obviously not one for a dinner party 🙂
When my hubby saw the finished product,
he had given his “I really love this” thumbs up.
Views from the other side of the table:
I try to keep these blue and white bowls
on the French buffet, filled with a flowering plant.
Pink Cyclamen fills these bowls currently.
White flowers truly give out that special glow.
I am trying to incorporate more white flowering
plants and trees in my new yard as I so love
how the white flowers “dance in the moonlight.”
Hope you enjoyed my table of Blue and White
and a little bit of pink!
