Hello Dear Readers!
Welcome to another marvelous Monday Morning Blooms!
Please join me and my Bloom friends, Lidy, Mary and Pam
(their links are located at the bottom of this post)
as we present our passion for flowers
and hope you gain some great inspiration today!
Today we are doing a “re-creation/copycat” post…
choosing a page out of the fabulous book by
Victoria Magazine/Hoffman Media, “The Art of Flowers”
and recreating it in our own version.
You know what they say . . . .
“imitation is the best form of flattery”
Today I present, Vibrant Spring Colors Flower Arrangement
& A Winner!
I chose Page 147 from The Art of Flowers book as my “copycat”
When I saw this beautiful page,
I knew that I had many of the
items needed to recreate this … I went for it.
The champagne bucket, the blue and white teacups,
the recipe box, and oh that special fruit cup…
I have the very same cup that my mom gave me years ago.
I think that cup was truly why I chose this page to imitate.
I quickly tagged the raspberries and blackberries
with a “do not eat” tag in the refrigerator.
My hubby is so used to it!
I grabbed my favorite recipes
from my large recipe box and placed them
in this plain wooden box that I had in my stash.
The champagne bucket in my copycat contains these flowers:
(They were sprayed with Crowning Glory
Flower preservative the day before arranging)
Mini Apricot Carnations
Eucalyptus for filler
I do not have a tablecloth similar
to the one in the image, so I used
several napkins with blue trim and
“smooshed” them on the table.
When taking inspiration from a publication,
keep in mind that you do not have to imitate it
exactly how it appears. It is fun to use what
you have and create your own version.
You can see that I did my “own version”
of some of the items on the table, including the flowers.
I have a great container that fits
perfectly in the champagne bucket.
Floral preservative is added to the water.
When I check the water level each day
of the container and it requires
additional water, I also had a tiny
bit of floral preservative to refresh it
I so enjoy setting a pretty table
in front of my French armoire.
Hope you enjoyed my re-creation
of Page 147 from the gorgeous book, “The Art of Flowers”
And now it is time to see the glorious re-creations
of my wonderful Bloom friends and their winners too!

of their beautiful images.
