Lemons and Flowers on the Patio

Summertime and the living is easy.  Easy living in all outdoor settings,

whether it be a park or your private outdoor setting.

Enhance your private outdoor setting by simple flower arrangements

to adorn your event or just a table for two!

Hello Dear Readers!

I hope you had a most wonderful Independence Day and

your summer is off to a great start!

Welcome to Monday Morning Blooms!

Join Lidy, Mary, Pam and me for some flower inspiration today!

Our theme today is Lemons.

Lemons always reminds me of my childhood days of summer.

My mom making lemondade … whether a drink or frozen pops.

The links to my Bloom Friends

are at the bottom of this post under their

wonderful lemon inspired flower arrangements.

My hubby and I traveled to our local Farmer’s Market

that has a large outdoor garden shop which includes fountains.

We found a fountain and I also found my container

for today’s flower arrangement.

I love this English garden container line,

Royal Botanic Gardens – Kew.

I was drawn to this beautiful powder blue.

My simply done arrangement of

blue and white hydrangeas, white heath asters,

and lemons on a skewer sits along side of

my hubby’s favorite, lemon squares.

I could not wait to do a flower post

on my new patio and our theme of Lemons

was perfect for this “inaugural patio” post.

I am enjoying sitting on the patio in the

early morning hours, enjoying the view and the shade!

We ordered a 13 foot umbrella for this space.

Should be arriving in a few weeks. Can’t wait.

Here’s a peek of the fountain.

Our next step is to landscape it’s surrounding area.

Our patio has two tiers,

separating the dining area from the sitting area.

The fireplace I’ve always wanted!

The construction started on the patio/fireplace

back in late February and just got completed

a couple of weeks ago!

I will say it was worth the wait (kind of 🙂 )

I promised my Sweetie that she will be the first

to roast a marshmallow in our fireplace,

so I cannot wait for her to be able to do just that!

Hope you enjoyed my tour of the new patio

and the lemonade break with flowers today.

Now it is time to visit my ever to talented

Bloom Friends!

Happy Monday Shirley! I know you’re enjoying your beautiful patio at long last! How grand and spacious and with that stunning fireplace as a feature! I know your bubbling fountain must sound so relaxing and I love your pretty new Kew Gardens pot with your blue and white blooms and lemons. Lemon bars are a favorite of ours too, especially in summer. I hope you’re able to have your inaugural marshmallow and s’mores roast with your sweetie soon. Thank you for the flower therapy this morning, I hope you had a relaxing Fourth. ♥

Absolutely stunning, Shirley. We love that garden shop, too. And, I am loving those polka-dot napkins. Do you know if and where they are available?

Your fireplace is so unique I Love it!
It has a Mission feel (to me) that you don’t see often, but have always
Admired. Living in So. Ca. many little quaint towns along the coast
Often lean towards mission architecture..very warm and inviting.
Your grounds and entertaining areas are fairytale worthy,
Surely, many memories will be made here.
