Creating a beautiful tablescape using the rich tones
of Fall colors is probably one of the most popularly
created tablescapes of any season other than the
beautiful tablescapes of Christmas.
Hello Dear Readers!
Happy, happy Monday and welcome to another
great Monday Morning Blooms!
Today Lidy, Mary and Pam and I are bringing
you Fall Colors flower inspiration!
The links to my flower loving friends
are below their “fallicious” images
at the bottom of this post.
It all started with a pair of Fitz and Floyd
Bountiful Harvest candlesticks that I found
at my favorite consignment shop, Always Home
in Durham, N.C.
They were love at first sight and I
knew they would go so beautifully with
my favorite transferware lidded jar.
This lidded jar was also a great find at a
Hospice thrift store in Virginia. My $6.00 deal!
I chose flowers in autumnal colors from my main
flower supplier, Mr. Trader Joe.
The Fall Color Flowers in the arrangement today are:
Yellow and soft orange Alstroemeria
Orange and cranberry Gerbera Daisies
Peach mini mums with red tipped petals.
Seeded Eucalyptus for filler
I used the last of my wet floral foam
and will be using the floral “chicken wire”
in the future so I can be environmentally friendly.
I placed velvet acorns in the candle holder
rather than the usuall candle.
I am always trying to do something a bit out of the norm.
The place setting consists of my go to
Lenox Butler’s Pantry plate that sits
on top of a Southern Living Wooden charger
from Dillards and placed a Woodland Spode
salad plate to be the star fo the stack.
I selected the Pintail, Rabbit, Pheasant and Canada Goose
for the table today.
Antler napkin rings by Pottery Barn
several years ago.
Napkins by Longaberger many years ago.
The Fitz and Floyd candle holders
will fly up to the mantel when the
tablescape is dismantled.
This table truly creates such a festive Fall feel
in the room.
I cannot wait for the crisp fall air
to light the fire in this room.
Hope you enjoyed my Fall Colors flower arrangement
and the dining room dressed for Fall.
Now it is time to visit my fabulous flower friends
for some stunning Fall Color inspired creations!

Beautiful Shirley! What a find and bargain your lidded jar was! It makes the perfect vessel for your fall flower arrangement for your table and you have the best luck at your favorite consignment store too. I adore your new-to-you Fitz and Floyd candle holders and Spode Woodland with the variety of patterns. So wonderful to see your dining room is ready to usher in fall. Hopping over to Southern Hospitality to see more. It’s always a treat to share blooms with you on my favorite Mondays of the month. ♥
Beautiful! Happy fall.
Thanks so much Linda…happy Fall to you!
Absolutely beautiful! I’ve been following you for a while now. I live in Wake Forest. Summer of 2020, I finally made it to Always Home. I did let one of the owners in the store that day, know that your blog was the reason I discovered their store.
Good morning, Shirley! You have created the warmth of fall in your stunning dining room. I immediately noticed the F&F candleholders holding the velvet acorns, I am a longtime collector of Fitz and Floyd. Your arrangement is perfectly autumn in the lidded jar that was a fabulous steal. I have Spode “woodland” and it is my favorite pattern for fall. I can imagine sitting at your lovely table with a delicious meal while enjoying a crackling fire! That would be autumn joy, indeed!
It is always a treat to join you for Monday Morning Blooms. Wishing you a lovely week ♥️
Beautiful! The candleholders are so spot on for fall as well as your thirst store find! Thank you for the fall inspiration and have a wonderful fall.
Shirley, your Spode plates, Fitz and Floyd candlestick and transferware bowl serving as floral vessel make my heart skip a beat! So beautifully arranged together, and the napkin rings and napkins are handsome additions. Wonderfully fall!
Thank you Rita!! Such amazing compliments that I revere coming from you a most talented tablescaper!! Happy, happy Fall!
Just $6 for that transferware jar?!?!!?!? I have the dishes with the peacocks and other countryside fowl!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE this transferware so much!!! I remember when I had such a rough time completing a set of 12 because they had sold out. Took months!!!!!! If you EVER decide you’re tired of that jar, you can sell it to me!!!😁
Your tablescape is gorgeous, as usual, and the flowers are amazing! Your creations just keep getting better and better…if better is even possible!!!!!!!!
Alycia, what is the name of that transferware? Unable to find it and I think I shall keep my jar! 😊
Thank you for your sweet comments!!
Gorgeous fall arrangement in an enviable transfer ware container! Brown is one my favorite colors of transfer ware. Birds are also a favorite of mine and I adore the candlesticks and how well the dishes and painting all contribute to an autumn feeling. Here on Florida’s Treasure Coast I have to bring that feeling in since the weather does not do it 😉. I saw your beautiful guest post on Rhodas Feature Friday at Southern Hospitality Blog and really enjoyed the wide views of your new home and how the floor plan works. Your laundry room is the stuff of my dreams! I’m curious whether you display most of your lovely things or have a storage system for rotating items. Perhaps a post on that one day?
Thank you sio very much Pamela! I have a storage space in my attic of shelving units that house my decorative items that I change out for the seasons or just when I feel like a change (which is often)…I call it the storage abyss. Glad you enjoyed my home tour over at Rhoda’s! Happy Fall!
Love, love, love all of this posting!!! Thank you!
Thank you so very much Diane! Happy Fall!
So beautiful Shirley! Your F&F candlesticks are wonderful and look so great with the velvet acorns and pumpkins. Your flower arrangement is gorgeous, love the combination of blooms and colors. What a lovely cozy spot to dine by the fire when the temps drop. Your table itself is gorgeous and the wood looks so pretty with the transferware and Woodland Spode salad plates. Thank you for the eye candy and flower fun today!
Jenna…you are always so flattering and I thank you for that. Yes, those candlesticks were a great find and perfect for the table and the room! Have a most wonderful week Jenna!

Your Fall ensemble in your beautiful home is one of my all time favorites! Everything is so classy and well put together! I adore the Fitz and Floyd pheasants….love the jewel tones in them. Can I ask where you found your beautiful chandelier? I also love your gorgeous rug under the table. I guess what I’m trying to say is “What don’t I love?” Just Beautiful!
