What says Fall more than beautiful varieties of pumpkins
and the tremendous array of the magnificent colors of Fall mums.
Hello Dear Readers!
Welcome to another wonderful Monday Morning Blooms!
Lidy, Mary, Pam and I are presenting some fabulous
flower inspiration in harmony with the glorious Fall Pumpkins!
The links to their flower and pumpkin inspiration are
at the bottom of this post.
I bring you the Harmony of Fall Pumpkins and Mums.
A simple vignette of pumpkins, real and faux.
Faux…scrumptious velvet fabric of beautiful colors and designs.
A lidded ceramic pumpkin became
the vessel for a petite arrangement entirely of mums
Various types/colors of burgundy and yellow.
After I arranged the mums in the pumpkin
I realized that it needed a little extra something,
so I added loops and tails of ribbon
in pretty Fall colors.
It added the texture and color
that this “petite” flower arrangement needed.
The Great Room is simply decorated for the Fall season.
Pillows added with colors of oranges, greens, and blues.
Mums fill my ironstone footbath on the hearth
with a faux pumpkin and a real dried pumpkin stem
that I added from a pumpkin the year before.
If I have a great stem, I cut it away from the
pumpkin before it is discarded and set it out to
dry to use the next year.
Velvet pumpkins by Plush Pumpkins fill
the blue and white bowl. One year I decorated
my home in plum colors for Fall. That is why
you can see many shades of purple among the pumpkins.
I feel by appropriately adding pretty ribbon to
any object of decor is always a good thing.
I love the how the home and garden
magazines have such beautiful covers
for the appropriate seasons. You will find
them on the ottoman along with my favorite books
to coordinate with my pretties on the tray.
Hope you enjoyed the pumpkins and mums in the
Great Room today. The simplest of flower arrangements
can have a great impact wherever it is in your home.
Now it is time to gain some Fall Fabulous pumpkin and
flower inspiration from my very, very talented and
creative friends!! Their links are below their
beautiful images.

Shirley, I’ve long admired your beautiful velvet pumpkins! You have a wonderful assortment of colors and textures with those fantastic pumpkin stems. The addition of the ribbon to your mums in your ceramic pumpkin is such a cheery addition and embellishment. I always enjoy sneak peeks into your beautiful home…what a gorgeous fabric and pillow in the background with pagodas and birds! As always it’s a treat to start my day with you and share some flower therapy. Wishing you a wonderful week. ♥
Shirley, what a great idea your tole tray is on the ottoman. I may steal( borrow) your idea. I love how adding ribbon to the pumpkins creates a festive mood! I love your velvet pumpkins gathered together and especially the texture on the stems.
Your fall pumpkin arrangement and vignettes add that perfect fall touch to your beautiful room.
Thank you Bonnie! Happy October!!!
Lovely pumpkin vignette Shirley, the ribbons are wonderful and I love the casual feel of the pumpkins happily stacked in the bowl and sitting on your pretty tray. I have to remember to save my pumpkin stems this year! The pot of mums and pumpkin on your fireplace in the background looks so pretty too! Happy October!
Very pretty! I just put out my velvet and blue toile pumpkins.
Thank you Penny…I bet your blue toile pumpkins are beautiful!
Shirley, your collection of velvet pumpkins is stunning and they are beautifully displayed in the blue and white bowl. The tole tray resting on the ottoman is perfect for your autumn display of mums and pumpkins. Adding ribbon to your mum arrangement gives it a festive and fun look. I also love the pumpkin candle and I can almost smell its fragrance.
It is always a treat to share blooms with you and adding the pumpkins make it extra special. Wishing you a lovely week!
Thank you Pam! I am still thinking about your bike filled with pumpkins!

What is it about velvet pumpkins. I just love them too. So pretty. Your arrangement is gorgeous as always sweet friend. Happy Monday and have a great week. xoxo Kris
I, for one, am THRILLED to see the plum hues dancing with the oranges and yellows with the beautifully traditional blue and white in the mix. I’m a big fan of colors like eggplant, mulberry, and plum in fall and winter. I’m also a fan of mixing real and faux pumpkins to create the look I’m going for. I don’t know what took me so long to get on board with that!🤷🏽♀️ Your autumn touches are, as expected, gorgeous and inspiring! Have a terrific week ahead!
Beautiful arrangement and tray vignette. I love velvet pumpkins too! It’s fun to mix them in with other fall touches. Beautiful post, Shirley. Happy October!
Shirley, your mums and pumpkins make the most beautiful fall display! Your house always looks so pretty decorated for the seasons. Wishing you a most happy and blessed fall season!
