Chase away the January Blues by adding
beautiful blues to your home decor!
Hello Dear Readers!
Happy Winter and Monday Morning Blooms!
I hope that you are warm and cozy and
not being affected by the winter storms.
It’s headed our way and hope that it will
not be too severe and we are able to
keep the lights on!
Join me and my ever so passionate about
flowers friends, Lidy, Mary and Pam
for another wonderful
Monday Morning Blooms. Our common theme
today is “January Blues.”
The links to their beautiful posts are
at the bottom of this post.
What better to beat the January Blues by
creating a flower arrangement of blue and white
in the Sunroom!
I purchased my flowers several days
before I created the arrangement.
The tulips (as always) grew a couple of inches
and therefore started to droop. So I used
them mainly in the perimeter of the arrangement
for that cascading effect.
It wasn’t difficult to decide where the flower arrangement
would go….in a room that already has been adorned
with many shades of blue decor.
A trip to Trader Joe’s yielded
🌷White Stock Roses
Flowers placed in a blue and white
flower pot that often holds an
orchid. Flowers secured with wet floral foam.
I’m always on the lookout for great
blue and white pieces and often you
will see them placed in one room and
weeks later they shuffle off to another.
Blue and white pieces found at garden centers,
consignment shops and happy to say some are gifts.
I encourage you to check out your
local consignment/thrift shops as
you may find some beautiful blue and white pieces.
It’s my way of “recycling” 😊
Soon there will be some changes in this room.
The chairs in the raspberry colors will be
recovered. The fabric is like new, but
after 17 years, it’s time for a change.
Speaking of changes…
the bookcase in this corner was replaced
by this skirted table that was in our bedroom.
The bookcase shuffled off to the hallway of the
other bedrooms…Changes in our bedroom caused
that ever so fun Domino Effect.
The table top is exactly how it was in our bedroom.
I’m not sure if I should refer to this room
as the sunroom or the flower room as there
are so many flowers and plants in this room
at all times…indeed the happy room!
I hope you enjoyed my sunroom that helps
keep the January Blues away….they say the
best way to beat the “blues” is to add More Blue! 💙💙💙
