As we approach the season of Spring, we can see the beauty of the leaves
of green singing their songs of Spring.
Hello Dear Readers!
There are signs of Spring here and I am loving all of the
trees budding out with their beautiful shades of green.
My flower loving friends and I are presenting great flower
inspiration today with the common theme of Green.
I am presenting my Spring Green Flower Arrangement and Tablescape.
Welcome to Monday Morning Blooms!
It’s our first Monday of March and when you think March,
you think Green!…whether it be due to St. Patrick’s Day
of Leprechauns wearing their green or the greening of the
trees after a long winter’s nap.
More green inspiration of Lidy’s, Mary’s and Pam’s are
at the bottom of this post. Their links are below their
beautiful images.
I traveled to Trader Joe’s in search of green flowers.
These are what I found and placed
in a white artichoke design container for contrast of color.
🌿Green Hydrangeas
🌿Green Lisianthus
🌿Green Alstroemeria
You will see some Chamomile later in this post.
I thought I would go all out with green
by choosing my vintage Jadeite….
a collection that started many years ago.
Martha Stewart made me do it!
Rather than choosing an all green napkin,
I decided to go with one that offers Spring colors.
I twirled the napkin into a rose.
Twirled?….yes, take a fork and place it in the
center of the napkin (tines down) and twirl the fork.
As you twirl the fork you will see the petals
start to form. Gather the edges and tuck the
edges (pointed folds of the napkins) under the “rose”
I feel that napkins that are of a thinner material work best.
This napkin has a thicker texture.
I chose “Cabbage” paper placements from Hester and Cook.
I love these placemats as the graphics are wonderful.
And yes, I have reused some of them in the past.
I placed a placemat under the flower arrangement..
It tied in the green wonderfully.
Birds’ nests to welcome in Spring on the table
were placed upon Portmeirion mini cake plates.
The paper placemats are quite versatile…
you can also line some side by side and form a runner.
The stemware is vintage Fostoria American.
A collection I have also started many years ago.
What’s a Spring table of green without
a cute moss covered bunny in a bed of chamomile?
It’s always a pleasure creating a tablescape
in the dining room with my favorite feature…the fireplace.
A fireplace in the dining room has always been on my wish list.
I’ve happily crossed that wish off the list! 😊
Now it is time to visit my
wonderfully talented Bloom friends!

Love those placemats. Side by side as a runner too? Brilliant. Beautiful arranging of the flowers!! You sure did find some beautiful green flowers. Terrific vase for them too. Love the Jadeite too and I need to try that with a napkin. Saved lots of your pictures today to my Pinterest. Thank you for the beauty.
Shirley, What a wonderful tribute to ‘green’ with table set with your wonderful vintage Jadeite! Your green hydrangeas are stunning paired with the lisianthus and alstroemeria in your artichoke vase. I adore your pretty floral napkins ‘twirled’ into roses and placed in your pretty bowls. The Hester & Cook cabbage placemats provide such a pretty contrast against the wood of your table, joining your sweet nests elevated on pedestals. Both you and Lidy had bunnies ‘hopping into spring’ this morning… love your moss bunny nestled in a bed of chamomile! As always, it’s a treat to share blooms and join you for some flower therapy. Happy Monday
Good morning, Shirley! I am loving all of the green on your beautiful table setting. Ah, lisianthus, a beautiful flower mixed with hydrangeas and alstroemeria in a most appropriate artichoke vase. Your collection of jadeite is stunning on the Hester & Cook cabbage placemats. I will try the twirling of napkins into a rose shape, sounds easy enough. The floral contrast of the napkins adds just enough color to the greens of the table. I have a thing for moss bunnies, they don’t dig in gardens! It is always a pleasure to join you for Monday Morning Blooms. Happy Monday!
What a pretty spring green table! Love the cabbage placemats. Your flower arrangement is beautiful.
Love your table! You’re very creative!
Shirley, you have charmed and inspired today with your lovely spring table. I remember your Portmerion mini cake plates and to have a pair is wonderful. So pretty with bird nests and so creative to add tiny flowers. I love that little detail!
Your arrangement is beautiful in your artichoke vase and looks wonderful with your Hester and Cook cabbage placemats. How perfect your Jadeite plates and floral twirled rose napkins completed your table.
Thanks for all the inspiration.
Love the rose napkins!! Will have to try those!
Your arrangement is lovely Shirley, and I love your artichoke vase, so cute! Your table is a fresh breath of Spring, I love the cabbage paper mats, your pretty Jadeite, the sweet birds’s nests and moss rabbit, wonderful Spring elements! The twirled rose napkins are a fun touch, I can’t wait to try that! Beautiful Spring table ☘️
Beautiful as always Shirley. Love the flower napkins in the cups. Adorable. Happy New Week. xoxo
Shirley, green has never looked this good! I love those bright greens in your flowers, and the cabbage placemats are brilliant. Perfect for this season, aren’t they? I’m going to try that twirling of napkins into a rose shape, it sounds fun. The floral pattern of your napkins add a perfect pop of color, it’s springtime beauty on your table! Thanks as always for the flower therapy, it’s a blessing to join you on our Monday Morning Blooms! Wishing you a happy week, dear friend. xo Lidy
Stunning flowers arrangement and wonderful vintage jadeite!
I’m with everyone above…you put together a beautiful Spring table setting! Love the jadeite.
Shirley, you’ve welcomed March with the quintessential symbols with your varying shades of green! I afore spotting the hues in nature, especially with the contrasts of mulch and bark. Your jadeite, Fostoria and H&C placemats all complement your floral arrangement beautifully.
Shirley, I apologize for my late arrival to Monday Morning Blooms. Your gorgeous green arrangement is a perfect welcome for March. I love using all green in an arrangement, and your artichoke vase is a wonderful container. Gorgeous post! Happy March
