Blue and White and Boxwood

Last week we traveled to Florida to attend our Class Reunion.

On the way down we stopped at one of our fav restaurants on our route,

to have lunch.

A bonus of this restaurant/inn is that it has a beautiful gift shop too!

So usually after I order my meal, I head to the gift shop!

It was there that I found a beautiful lamp that I could not leave behind.

I am not sure what spoke to me first . . . the design with birds

or the pretty finial. I just wish they had a pair.

When we returned from Florida and I set up the lamp in the Great Room,

of course it lead to the ripple or domino effect,

which truthfully, I enjoy!

The domino effect also led to creating new vignettes of:

Antique Bamboo Tables Added to the Dining Room

Hello Dear Readers!

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!

We traveled to Florida to attend my Great Niece’s graduation and the added bonus

of visiting with my mom and my siblings and their families.

On my way down we stopped off I-95 to meet up with our dear friends to have

lunch and to pick up some great pillows

that my friend JoAnn had picked up for me.

You shall see those pillows at a later date.

When there is time,

I always try and stop at one of my favorite shops on the way home.

The Plantation Shop, on Amelia Island, Florida.

I always find some treasures there

and this time was no exception. My purchase led to:

My New Kitchen Design

Hello Dear Readers!

Well, I have stated that I continue to make changes with regard to the house.

I know I am making my builder a bit crazy,

although he never shows it … well maybe,

with a “look” from time to time…

but he is not the only one that I am probably

making a little nuts …. My cabinet guy …

He is so much like my builder and takes

every change and questions with a smile! I definitely think it’s the laid back

attitude here in the South… Whatever the reason, I am fortunate to have a great

builder and cabinet maker that have a sense of humor…you need it with me.

Just ask my hubby!

Here are some layouts of the kitchen design. Get your readers out!

Master Bedroom Refresh With Blue and White

Hello Dear Readers!

It’s been a very hectic week here dealing with decisions, decisions

for the new house.

Seems as though when I think I pretty much have it all together,

then something comes up . . . like a higher estimate than anticipated,

then back to the drawing board to make more decisions.

In the meantime,

I found some time to do a bit of a refresh in the Master Bedroom.

A Great Find – Chelsea House Mirror

Hello Dear Readers!

Happy May Day!!!

I am hoping I can find some Lily of the Valley to give to my loved ones.

Did you know that it was a tradition in France

to give your loved ones Lilies of the Valley on May Day?

And speaking of France  . . .

A few weeks ago, I discovered a beautiful Trumeau mirror at my fav consignment shop.

It was love at first sight. However, being that we are building a new house,

it has been suggested that I only spend what I need for the house.

I did not “need” that mirror, but on the other hand,  I did.

It would look wonderful over one of the mantels or the powder room.
