I cannot say enough how head over heels, turning cartwheels across the floor

happy I am with my Holiday Dining Room this year.

It is a bit of a departure for me as it is not in my

usual traditional colors and decor of Christmas.

I gave you a sneak peek a while back showing you a tree with some black and white,

well actually more like black and cream ribbon, that I hand flocked.

The inspiration for the dining room this year began with a tea kettle.

Yes, a tea kettle!

My Snowy Christmas Great Room

This year my Great Room Christmas decor began with a beautiful flocked tree.

Thus began with the thought of doing a Snowy Christmas theme of

white and neutrals in the room and maybe a pop of color here and there.

Today, my friends and I are partnering with the wonderful company

Christmas in the Sunroom

The first room in which I usually initiate my Christmas decorating each year,

other than the foyer, is my Sunroom.

This year was no different. I began decorating the room

by putting up my Memory Tree. The tree that is filled with ornaments

that I have collected and have been gifted to me over many, many years.

I was actually decorating this tree Halloween night!

Yes . . . placing ornaments on the tree in-between answering the calls of the

Trick or Treaters for their treats.

Now, it is definitely Christmas in the Sunroom.

Decking the Halls

I have been busy decking the halls, but no boughs of holly . . . yet.

For many years, I have had a Christmas tree in my dining room.

It is usually a small slim tree that can be easily placed in a corner.

This year I wanted to do something different, without breaking the bank.

A bit of a different look. I then had an epiphany!

I remembered something that I have used in the past

to embellish my plain miniature Christmas trees.

So today I shall show you how to easily and inexpensively flock a Christmas tree.

The Great Room Christmas Tree

It takes me 2 full days to decorate the Great Room Christmas tree.

So many ornaments that I treasure to place on the tree.

The tree is a 9 foot Silverado Slim that I purchased

from Balsam Hill a couple of years ago. It replaced my 12 foot tree,

that truly got so cumbersome to decorate.

Always up and down a very tall ladder, so this 9 foot tree is easier to manage

not to mention taking up much less space.

Rainy Day Christmas Decorating
