It has been a very busy past few weeks around this household…
…..but then again, it is always busy around here.
I am doing a bit of “re-decorating” in the kitchen…
…..pulling out some “treasures” hidden in cabinets.
Today, I brought these pretties out…
These Yellow Ware bowls belonged to my late mother-in-law.
I displayed the set on a 3-tiered iron display stand that I purchased years ago….
…..from those Southern Living home parties.
What better to place a vintage egg beater in the bowl…
A vintage rolling pin, cookie cutters, and measuring cup anxiously await…
…..for a little cutie to use them to make cookies.
I remember how much fun it was baking cookies with my mom.
I only hope that my granddaughter will have fond memories of baking cookies with her Grandma…
…..as I will hold on to those memories forever.
Memories of more flour being on us than in the cookie dough..
Or wondering which cookie cutter design will be the prettiest.
I was reminded very recently that life is so delicate…to grab every opportunity,
…..to make wonderful memories.
No matter how simple the task or activity may be…
For smelling the ingredients of cookie dough made by cute little hands…
…..is definitely just as good, as smelling the fragrance of roses.
Take time to smell the cookie dough…
