Winter Mantel Featuring A Magnolia Garland

Hello Dear Readers!

I hate to admit this but I am still de-Christmasfying the house.

I have two more trees to take down and then call it a day.

The first thing that was removed was the Christmas decor on the mantel.

That came down first as it was fast and easy to “dis-mantel”

The mantel is also the first area that was transitioned from Christmas to Winter.

I knew what I was going to do as I received something beautiful right before Christmas.

It was a gorgeous magnolia garland from the fine people of The Magnolia Company.

I won this garland through a giveaway campaign that they were offering on Instagram. Yay!

Due of time constraints, I could not use it in my Holiday decor;

however, this garland had dried/preserved so beautifully that is was perfect

for the Winter Mantel featuring a magnolia garland.

The Magnolia Foyer and a Winner

Hello Dear Readers!

I hope you all had a most Merry weekend. Our weekend was a special one

as we had our very first snow of the season. It was a Winter Wonderland of Snow.

About  6 to 8 inches of snow fell pretty much overnight,

and by the late afternoon it started melting due to the freezing rain.

Just hope it doesn’t turn to ice!

I have a couple of “snow photos” for you to see and

today, it is all about the Magnolia Foyer and a winner.

The foyer in the Berry Patch house is not large,

so simple Christmas decor is all it needs.

Blue and White Fall Tablescape

I thought we would go down memory lane today.

To revisit my Blue and White Fall Tablescape with orange accents.

I began creating the elongated centerpiece by using a faux magnolia garland.

It is always great to have some greenery to anchor a centerpiece

to use as a base to create that long narrow look we all have grown to love.

Using a garland is a great way to start.

A Southern Christmas Mantel of Magnolia Leaves

Love Magnolia leaves to decorate the house  for  Christmas, as it is so very Southern.

My Southern Christmas mantel of Magnolia leaves

was the first thing on the agenda for creating my Christmas decor this year.

It seems like styling the mantel is always the first thing that I do,

setting the tone for the room’s decor.

I really kept it very simple this year. Truly, I did. I even surprised myself!

Setting a Post Thanksgiving Table

Setting a Post Thanksgiving table is usually what I do

when we return from our trip to be with our very large family

and extended family for Thanksgiving.

I love to cook our own turkey so we can have a small family celebration

with leftover turkey  to share.

Although it is so beyond wonderful to celebrate our blessings with my entire family

of siblings, nieces and nephews, their spouses, and my mom ….

I am also very THANKFUL TO bHOME.
