I Hope He Is Right!

I hope he is right! He being Punxsutawney Phil.

I hope that he truly did not see his shadow, as I am so ready for Spring!

There have been too many days of being house bound due to the icy weather.

I long for pretty flowers and the projects of Spring.

So I can use this:

Potting Bench - Housepitality Designs

The potting bench now is pretty sad looking as it is in the cold

and not adorned with flowers.

But I want to remain positive and “bee happy”

Happiness is rocking in the rockers on the veranda with a great glass of tea.

Veranda - Housepitality Designs

Happiness is watching the flowers grow and hoping my hydrangeas bloom this year!

Happy is seeing the lovely green and the hanging ferns again

and also filling the window boxes on the upper porch with spring flowers.

However, in the meantime, I shall plan on creating Spring vignettes.

Of birds and flowers . . .

Silver and Daisies . . .

and moss covered bunnies.

Now the good thing about being house bound is that you get to carry out

that domino effect. Coming soon.

Are you ready for Spring or do you embrace each season as it occurs as

Mother Nature wants us to?

Have a beautiful winter’s day!

We’re Not In Mr. McGregor’s Garden Anymore!

Oh that Peter Rabbit. . . he was chased out of Mr. McGregor’s Garden on a stick along with his other

mischievous friends, while Peter’s three sisters obeyed their mother and enjoyed chamomile tea.

Little did he know that he and his friends would be the “cream of the crop” in another story.

The story of the ever changing tablescape . . . or vignette, whichever sounds good in a book.

The table of a thousand faces.

So what do you do with bunnies chased from a garden on stick stuck in a flower pot like this:

Moss Covered Bunnies-Housepitality Designs

Oh, and they meet up with a wise old bunny (yes, it is a bunny and not a dog!) . . .

A bunny that was covered with moss at our Crafty Chicks workshop many years ago.

The moss covered bunnies, a great camouflage for hiding from Mr. McGregor . . .

left their flower pots behind in the garden.

Knowing that they were to become the cream of the crop of bunnies . . .

what better to trade their flower pots for pretty ironstone creamers.

Now, the wise old bunny has a special place of honor in its new environment . . .

nestled in a beautiful scalloped ironstone bowl.

And what more appropriate is a vintage seed packet in a small creamer for this vignette.

And speaking of seed packets . . .

My friend Mary from Home is Where the Boat Is has a beautiful feature in Flea Market Gardens Magazine.

When my hubby was at Lowe’s Home Improvement, I asked him to look for this magazine.

He found it and it was the last copy. Obviously a big hit!

I love the way the writer titled the feature, “Home is Where the Shed Is”

Eight full pages of sheer delight!
