It took me a while and after careful consideration
weighing the fact that this table was not a family heirloom or an expensive piece of furniture,
actually a very inexpensive piece from Bombay Company many years ago . . .
I decided to take the plunge and paint it.
This accent table is in the master bedroom sitting area. It originally had the typical
Bombay dark wood stain. I painted it with Annie Sloan Pure White and distressed it.
Here is what it looked like before: (table on the left)
I knew as soon as I started painting it, that I would love it. No regrets.
I left the original finish on the drawer and slide out tray.
Now I will move on to paint the table on the other side of the sofa.
When I was placing the candle holder back on the table replacing it with a candle
rather than a faux boxwood ball, I noticed it was a bit stark. It needed texture.
So I got out my bag of moss and my glue gun and I covered the battery operated candle,
with the moss. Now I would not recommend using a real candle if you plan on lighting it! 🙂
Love the way it turned out.
Easy peasy!
I think I will be trying some other finishes on my battery operated candles.
This table received 2 little makeovers of paint and moss!
I am currently attending the Haven Conference for bloggers
having a wonderful time . . . and you can follow me and my great moments on Instagram HERE!
