The Berry Patch House has a wonderful porch, perfect for decorating for the seasons.
Only one negative though ….. no electrical outlets on the porch,
so I will have to add some sparkle in other ways!

Hello Dear Readers!
I know it is not quite Fall yet; however, I purchased Fall mums quite early.
As soon as my favorite garden center, Dales Greenhouse in Sanford, N.C., brought out
their mums, I was there lickity split as I was participating in a Fall Tour hosted
by the lovely Angie of Postcards From the Ridge.
I was to present my Fall Porch on Friday; however, I was a bit concerned that I would not
be able to participate much if I lost power due to the storm; therefore,
I had to bow out at the last minute.
So here I am today, presenting my Fall Porch.

Hello Dear Readers!
I have been busy with hurricane prep, glued to the Weather Channel and believe it or not,
been making my front porch of the Berry Patch House pretty for Fall,
just to take it all down and put it all safely away.
I have to say that it is my favorite of all Fall porches that I have done.
Time willing, in between hurricane preparations,
I hope to have it posted on Friday….so stay tuned.
In the meantime I will give you a sneak peek of it at the end of the post.
Today it is all about Fall Reminiscing, Florence, and a winner.
I must say, things have been a bit hectic around here lately.
Our move, then a trip the very next day after closing on the house . . .
my mom here for a visit this past week . . . and we traveling back to Georgia
to take her back home where she lives with my brother and my sister-in-law.
Needless to say that there has been little time for posting, social media,
unpacking and organizing. My days have been very long.
Today, I want to give you some sneak peeks of the house and a giveaway from me.
But first here are some sneak peeks!
What happened to Spring? It seems as though it rolled in for a couple of weeks
and then told Summer to come on in! It has been unusually hot these past several days,
however, with the rains coming, we will get some relief with cooler temperatures.
In doing my daily watering on the porches,
I decided to take a stroll among the flowers in the yard and porches.
I love fluffing my porches for each season.
The fluffing came a little late as I wanted to wait
for the pollen to completely end. It seemed as if it was going on forever!

I intentionally decided that I omit the door wreaths this year for that
more simply stated look for my Spring Porch 2018.
I had full intentions of showing you my refreshed Sunroom for a little jump start to Summer.
It can truly double for Spring too.
Yes, Summer, as I think we may just go from Winter to Summer with the crazy weather
we have been experiencing. However, the rain and gloomy days
have kept me from photographing the room.
So today, I thought I would give you a little bit of What Have I Been Up To?
I can honestly say that my life is always a bit on the hectic side.
There is always something going on, whether it be things going on around the house,
travels, and activities, and not to mention the occasional shopping excursions.
Let’s start with curing my Spring Fever by beginning to fluff the porches and yard.
All I have to say is better late than never!
It seems like I had been working on many Christmas trees this year,
that I did not have much time to decorate the porch.
Early in December, I placed the wreaths on the door.
I finally put the finishing touches on the porch, making sure not to overdo it!
So for my last post of this Christmas season, I present, The Christmas Porch.
They say it is always good to have a second pair of eyes.
Eyes that see differently ….. from a different perspective.
This is exactly what happened the day of the photo shoot
by ShowSpaces Photography.
I noticed the photographer kept opening doors. Hmmm, I thought, for more light?
The photographer stated that you need to see what is beyond the doors.
An area of the house that I rarely show
is the rear view of the house and the backyard and porches.
Recently we put our home on the market.
The realtor’s photographer came over last week and took about 100 photos.
