I started out by doing a typical “Red White and Blue” centerpiece for the table . .
~ ~ but I thought for a minute ~~ and changed my mind ~~ oh, the mind is a dangerous thing!
Wanted to do something a bit different. . . so I scoured the house, looking for inspiration.
I found some inspiration in my laundry room ~~ go figure!
I have an enamelware bowl and pitcher that resides in my laundry room . . .
~ ~ thought I would give it a change of scenery.
Placed the bowl and pitcher on a vintage blue and white tea towel.
~ ~ I purchased the bowl and pitcher separately many years ago.
Found the blue and white swirled bowl in Iowa when visiting about 30 years ago.
Added my Folk Art Uncle Sam Bunny to the centerpiece . .
Added another “Uncle Sam” that is made out of clay.
~ ~ I purchased both of these at a “Country Living” Craft show many years ago in Florida.
A simple Americana Centerpiece for the summer table. . .
Added a touch of “Americana” to the bench with a red and white ticking quilt . . .
~ ~ and a Pottery Barn flag pillow.
I purchased the small quilt at Cracker Barrel many years ago!
~ ~ I used it as a table cloth in my former breakfast room.
As some of you may remember . . .
~ ~ I purchased the Antique Split Oak Bench at the Country Living Fair in Atlanta last year.
I feel as though this centerpiece can carry me through the entire month . . .
~ ~ well, I may have to replenish the sunflowers from time to time.
Wishing you all a most happy and safe 4th of July Holiday!
