Antique Bamboo Tables Added to the Dining Room

Hello Dear Readers!

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day Weekend!

We traveled to Florida to attend my Great Niece’s graduation and the added bonus

of visiting with my mom and my siblings and their families.

On my way down we stopped off I-95 to meet up with our dear friends to have

lunch and to pick up some great pillows that my friend JoAnn had picked up for me.

You shall see those pillows at a later date.

When there is time, I always try and stop at one of my favorite shops on the way home . . .

The Plantation Shop, on Amelia Island, Florida. I always find some treasures there

and this time was no exception. My purchase led to:

The Sunroom Vote

in the sunroom. Red or Blue. I received many, many answers and suggestions

on which color was preferred. I took your suggestions and opinions seriously.

So this is what I decided to do for now.

Drum roll please . . . . . .

Cotton in the Summer

There is nothing so beautiful than a field of cotton.

Here in the South, there is an abundance of cotton fields for us to enjoy.

I love driving through the countryside at the peak of the cotton crop.

Such an amazing sight to see . . . like a snow covered field.

Rustic and Elegance, A Great Combination

I cannot say that my house is either rustic or elegant.

However, I would like to feel that I have a bit of both.

Marrying the two elements to make an interesting vignette or feel of a room.

I removed the winter items from the mantel and added a few of my favorite pieces to create a rustic feel

with a bit of elegance.
