I am back from the Southern Bloggers Conference!…I can honestly say that is was amazing…

…..from the fabulous speakers:

We had a wonderful lunch, courtesy of Hometalk!

The room where we greeted the attendees….promoted vendors…and showcased the Fall Decor Contest!
Kristen from Sophia’s Decor and her wonderful mom, set up a gorgeous display of items for sale.

On Sunday, Brittany coordinated a wonderful antiquing/thrifting adventure…

…..here she is at NoFo in Raleigh, where we had brunch..

Here is one of the pics I took at SuzAnna’s Antiques …one of the great hostesses of the day…

They were lunching amongst the architectural salvage!

By this time, I was taking photos with my iPhone..my camera was getting in the way of shopping!!

And I end this post with a pic of a very happy Kristen of Sophia’s Decor who found a great clock!!…

She was a happy camper!

ANNOUNCING A NEW SPEAKER AT THE {SOUTHERN BLOGGERS CONFERENCE}

You may already know that The Southern Bloggers Conference has a great line up of speakers!!…..

Rhoda from Southern Hospitality….

KariAnne from Thistlewood Farm…

Heather from At The Picket Fence….

And now we would like to introduce another speaker who will be joining the team….

The ever so talented Kelly from Eclectically Vintage!

Kelly, like the other fantastic speakers, has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the blog world….

…..that will compliment her fellow speakers.

If you are familiar with her blog….you may have seen some of her ever so creative projects….

……such as this one!

For you see, she has a love of all things vintage…

……and beautifully incorporates them into her home.

And take a look at what she got when she “bargained with a Nun”, no less…

……she struck a “deal” with this sweet angelic Nun at the Catholic Church School yard sale.

Pretty great huh?

And now to Kelly’s backyard and what it did for me….

…..One morning as I saw her post come thru my email, I eagerly clicked over to read it…

I found this amazing patio set….something that I have been looking for….

…..and it was there…..in her backyard!!

Kelly so graciously gave me the information on where I could purchase it….

…..and then another email from Kelly…..telling me that it is now 50% off!….

So off I drove to Home Depot with hubby….

…..and here it is on my porch!

It is such a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the view…thanks to Kelly….

And thanks to Rhoda, KariAnne, Heather, and Kelly we will have a great team of speakers to present to you….

…..at the Southern Bloggers Conference, to be held in Raleigh, North Carolina on October 12 – 13, 2012.

Tickets still available so do not miss out on this wonderful conference…

….and get to meet many incredible bloggers to gather for fun and a great learning experience!!!

“RALEIGH”…and THE FIRST ANNUAL SOUTHERN BLOGGERS CONFERENCE

Dear Trader Joe,

You certainly know what you doing….

…..you strive to make your customers happy…with happy workers…always smiling…ringing that bell!!…

But, really…you know what you are doing….

…..because when we first walk through your doors, we smile.

We smile at those beautiful flowers that greet us…saying welcome!

But lately, I have really been gravitating to your beautiful orchids….

I always have at least one blooming orchid in my house….

…..but they make me so happy, that I have to spread the “happiness” throughout the rooms.

And, at the great price of $12.99…you cannot go wrong.

This beautiful pink orchid has been blooming for at least 2 months…

…..so, you can have this beauty, that makes you smile, for a little over $1.50 a week…:)

Life is good…with flowers…
