A Little Fluffing ~ A Great Seat Cushion

A little fluffing done here and there about the house,

that’s about all I can do these days, trying to recuperate from “The Shingles”.

There should be a horror film, titled, “The Shingles” as it is truly “horror-a-ble”.

I am not one to sit . . . I get fidgety.

I was sitting on the sofa, looking around to see what I could do

that would not take much energy or movement . . . the key word being movement

and not get the attention of the resident Hall Monitor.

Ah ha! The light bulb moment.

Using Fruit to Enhance Your Decor

Using fruit to enhance your decor is a good thing.

I have utilized both faux and real fruit to add color, texture and interest

in my decor for many years.

Faux fruit has certainly come a long way from the waxed fruit of yesteryear.

Do you remember the wax fruit?….Better yet, how about the beaded fruit?

The Summertime Blues

Well, I am about to prove that song wrong

as there IS a cure for the Summertime Blues.

Just add the beautiful blues in your decor!

From the soft blues of sea glass, to the awesome color of Carolina Blue,

to the vibrant hues of navy and the Williamsburg blue that many of us loved years ago.

French Buffet Woodland Christmas Vignette

The first thing I did when returning from Florida for Thanksgiving . . .

~ ~ was to decorate my French buffet for Christmas.

I hope you all had a most wonderful Thanksgiving.

My family and I traveled to Florida . . . to my sister’s home . . . where my mom also lives.

We were there for a week and I was a bit out of cyber sync. . .

~ ~ as my sister lives in the country . . no cell phone coverage and slow internet.

So I took a bit of a blog break.

Dundee Marmalade Jars and Bread Boards

Between an out of town trip and company of dear friends arriving the day after we came home.

The day after we arrived home, there was a package on my porch.

Goodies that I purchased from Mary Alice’s (Chateau Chic) Etsy Shop.
