On my previous post about the Lucketts Spring Market…
…..I stated that other than the wonderful antiquing, I so enjoyed meeting fellow bloggers…socializing.
But for those of you who know me well…
….. you can probably guess that one of the highlights of the Market was…
…………….THE DESIGN HOUSE!!!
It is gorgeous…such a great group of talented people have decorated the Design House impeccably.
So armed with my “point and shoot” camera (did not bring the heavy DSLR with me) and proceeded to “the house”.
When I approached the front porch, you see this:
It says Welcome!
Can you see that gorgeous door against the wall?…
And on the other side of the front porch..you see this:
This area just makes you want to sit and have a glass of Sweet Tea!
I love the colors of this living room…
Each room was unique..Great numbered and lettered chests..
The Design House, as you can imagine was a bit crowded, so I took pictures quickly…
The dining room was located just off the foyer…beautiful!
…..and if you noticed, the same carpet that was on the porch is in the dining room.
As for many of the pieces in the house, this pretty chest was sold…
I thought that this bed in the alcove was so creatively done with the branches and bird cages hanging above…
So many great accessories displayed beautifully for sale in the house..
This chest is so wonderful and I know that many of you talented people out there could easily duplicate it!!
There were so many nooks and crannies filled with unique accessories.
One of the beautifully appointed bedrooms…
…..such creative furniture placement in this room.
Great “clock art”…
A view down the hallway of the upper floor…a pretty sitting area at the end of the hall.
A sitting room decorated in a garden theme…
Another stunning bedroom…
The furniture finishes were so fantastic…and I love how the light reflected on the ceiling.
There were four bedrooms in this house…
Even though I love the styling of this bed, in my mind, I was straightening the bedding and pillows!
Another cute area at the end of the hallway…
This chest was situated in the foyer toward the kitchen…I love that clock as it has “Charleston” on the face!
This room was located next to the kitchen…
The room appeared to be designed as a staging area/work room.
This cow head was huge!…it was located in the kitchen in which was used as a check out area…
As we exited the Design House, you go through an enclosed back porch area that was such a delight to see.
This was the other end of the porch…the weathered checkerboard floors were beautiful…
…..and it was hard not taking that dairy price sign home with me!
As you can see the table was sold..as so many of the items in the Design House.
…..the old restaurant sign was a real beauty!…
Well, it was time to leave this house….and too bad the clock was wrong, for if it was truly 10 after 10ish….
…..I would have gone out the door and back through the front to tour the house again.
Unfortunately, it was time to leave and begin our long drive home…
I am so glad that I was able to attend the Lucketts Spring Market, even though for just a few short hours…
…..for it was totally worth it!!..
Next year…I will be there for the entire two days!!!
Hope you enjoyed the Design House as much as I did!
Have a wonderful day!!!
