It’s been a while since I promised a peek of the sunroom at the Berry Patch House.
When we were moving in, all things that were in the category of
“I do not know where I am going to put this” …. went into the sunroom.
This room is a collection of things that do not have it’s “own home,” however,
it will different once we move into the “right-sized” house.

Hello everyone! It’s Floral Friday!
I had planned to do something in my dining room for this week’s post;
however, after trip to my favorite Consignment Shop, Always Home in Durham, NC.,
I decided to put that on hold and use my treasures that I found at the shop.
So today, I present a Sunroom Refresh with Blue and White and more.
I have been refreshing my rooms from Winter decor to Spring decor.
That is always a fun thing to do as we all love Spring.
I have already Refreshed the Great Room for Spring.
The Sunroom Refreshed for Spring was next on the list.
I had a couple of inspiration pieces to work with.
When I received my new issue of Country Living, it was a no brainer to
go back to HomeGoods and get those pillows that I have had my eye on
and hoping they were still there.
I received a gift from the sweetest person the other day.
I put that piece in my sunroom and the wheels started turning.
Come along with me and see
how an inspiration piece can change a room.
Less is more . . . did I say that?
Well, while still fidgety recuperating . . . (and I must say that I am feeling somewhat better),
I roam the house. Being unable to do all that much, I just set my sights on what I can do
to start on my quest of “less is more”.
I started in the sunroom.
Oh wait, did I say less is more? I did buy this Spring trio of tulips, daffodils, and a hyacinth
and repotted it in a vintage McCoy flower pot. But it was a “replacement”
of flowers that were previously there.
In my last post of the sunroom, I refreshed it with more red accents
using a vintage grain sack and accent pillows.
While I was refreshing the sunroom the other day, thoughts went through my mind
on how I can re-arrange the furniture.
The other day, I got up a 6 a.m., grabbed my first cup of coffee
and was just staring into the room……I set down the coffee cup and went to work.
There is always a story behind a room,
whether it is how the room came together over time
or came together as a result of a visit to a furniture showroom.
This room was about the showroom and a hubby that loves symmetry and “matchy matchy”
When my magazine feature was recently published in French Country Style magazine,
we both noticed something. Well at least he agreed about “that something”
I revealed my Sunroom Makeover last month when I was guest posting. . . .
~ ~ for Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch . .
So I thought I would give it a second reveal here . .
~ ~ with the addition of a lamp that I received from Lamps.com.
The great folks at Lamps.com sent me this beautiful lamp by Quoizel.
The description of this lamp states….
~ ~ “fluidly in motion with the ripples of the flowing glass”. . .
~ ~ ~ ~ appropriately named, “Ripley Brushed Nickel Lamp”
I knew that this lamp would go wonderfully in the newly “refreshed” sunroom.
The cushions were recovered in this large buffalo check fabric by my friend Linda . .
~ ~ I wanted a lighter look for Spring and Summer.
Linda also made new pillows using the same fabric of the slipcovered ottomans.
I love the way the checked fabric lends to a lighter and fresher feel to the room.
I changed some vignettes in the room . .
And some things remained the same . .
Love the way the sunroom looks now . . with its new facelift.
And a big thanks to Lamps.com for sending me this fabulous lamp . . .
~ ~ that has certainly contributed to the makeover of my sunroom in a most beautiful way.

There is still lots of “Spring Fever” Decorating going on here.
One of the things on my “to do list” . .
~ ~ was to repaint the vintage bird cage I bought last Fall at our neighborhood yard sale.

Nothing says Spring like a bird’s nest filled with eggs.
I love how the curve of the stand mimics the circular design of the bird cage.
I have used red accents in the sunroom . . .
~ ~ and decided to continue with the reds . . .
~ ~ ~ therefore, decided to use this color by Rustoleum in a satin finish.
I have to make a confession . .
~ ~ this lovely vintage bird cage was painted by my hubby . . not me!
For you see, I hurt my arm a couple of months ago and the motion of spraying the paint . .
~ ~ really hurt the muscles in my arm or should I say, what muscles I have!
So I thank you hubby for coming to my rescue . . . as always!!!
I love how it turned out!..
And . . in addition to lots of Spring decorating and refreshing that is going on here . .
~ ~ ~ I am really trying to incorporate the “Spring Cleaning” ! !
A song keeps playing in my head . . . a very popular song these days . .
The song from “Frozen” . . . “LET IT GO” ! !
Definitely my theme song for Spring!!!

While having a great lunch and strolling through the beautiful Fearrington Village…
….. of course I had to stop in and stroll through one of the shops.
My eye immediately caught these beauties:
The sales associate said that they were wasp catchers….
…..you place something sweet in the bottle and hang it from the handle…
………the wasps fly in and can’t get out.
However, I thought it was way too cute to hang out on the porch…..
Thought it looked cuter on the table in the sunroom….where I could enjoy it more often.
A visit was paid by the dragonfly (silk of course)….but no wasps!
I had my granddaughter over this afternoon while her mom was at school….
……She never misses a thing…
“Grandma….What’s this????”…
…..”Well, it is a wasp catcher”….
“But there are no wasps in the house….
……why is it on the table”?
“Because it is cute!!!”…
…..”Oh, but will the wasps come in the house?”…..”no, only pretty little silk dragonflies”…..
So for now…the wasps will continue to buzz away on the porches….
Because, this wasp catcher has found a great home inside the house…..
Rather than outside…..
Catching wasps!!!….
So, would you hang the “catcher” outside?… Or leave it indoors, so you can enjoy it so much more!
